GRRR... Pit Rant!!!

I got my taxes done today, and was surprised with a nice refund! Then I got called to work when Zoey and I were already to go for a nice walk, and then Easter shopping at the pet store... so to make it up for her, we went later. As we were walking into the pet store, a woman and her boyfriend walked by and she scrunched up her nose at Zoey and said "EWWWWW look at the Pitbull!" ... she's luck Zoey isn't mean.. I WOULD have let her at her. GRRR... I know everyone rants about this... but this is the first time it's happened to me... and EWW??? She's adorable!! The insensitivity of some people. Sorry, had to rant! Thanks for listening!

I know what you mean! Yesterday we were running errands around town and Buddy was with us. We went to the dry cleaners and the girl says "aw how cute". I told her she could pet him and she says "yeah right and draw back a nub, no thanks". I told her he is just a big baby and not a pit. She just said "oh". And then we pulled away. I wanted to say how stupid I really thought she was but I didn't. I behaved that time.

People are so rude!! Just imagine how the parents of pits feel. They must get it all the time. We saw two pits at school tonight and they were adorable and so good.

I hate when people don't know what breed Max is. But, they are not very intelligent about different breeds of dogs.

Sounds like you had quite a day! Don't you hate it when someone rude adds a little extra icing to the cake! Someone said look at that cute pitbull once and the other person said that dog is ugly, I was ready to bear my teeth at them! But then again life wouldn't be so funny without the idiots! Thats what the girls in the Pet Store said... one of them wants a Pit, and I have nothing against them! I think they are nice dogs when in the right homes... to be so rude and actually say EWWW!! It really riled me up! LOL!

Zoey is nothing short of total cutness!! Even is she were a pit she'd still be a darn cute one. If she said eww to your baby I don't know what her idea of cute is then...maybe one of those dogs that looks like a mop. If it were me, I'd bear my teeth and say "it's not the dog you should be worried about".

it really annoys me how stupid people feel the need to comment on things that they no nothing about!

That's why it's soooo great when you meet people who know what they're talking about when it comes to dogs.

I never understand why people don't just ask what breed of dog you have if they don't know?? That's what I would do.

I also ask people if it's okay to pet their dogs regardless of breed. I've taught my daughter that too (& have to remind her everytime!).

You should have replied "EWWWW Zoey, look at that ignorant ugly human"!! I swear, what makes some humans think they are better looking than any dog! I can't behave in situations like that. I'm the type that has to have the last word!
