Chloe's Passing
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. How devastating to lose a beloved friend and to lose one so suddenly and unexpectedly is extremely difficult. My heart and prayers go out to you.
Did Chloe exhibit any signs of back/disc problems prior to the paralysis? Do they know what caused the paralysis? My Boxer has developed back problems which the vet has made a preliminary diagnosis of a disc problem He stated the good news is that thus far it manifests itself in discomfort that can be controlled and not paralysis. My heart truly aches for you as I know a day will come when my Boxer will no longer greet me at the top of the steps preforming her tap dance in excitement of me coming home.
All dog breeds are fabulous, but no breed can fill the void left by a Boxer. I think you should look into adopting. No Boxer will ever be able to take Chloe's place, but they can fill the "Boxer Void" we are left with when we no long have one in our lives.
HuGs & Heart Healing Prayers,
Miki
Hi - I'm new to this board. We had a 7 year old Boxer Fawn Female Chloe who passed away a month ago rather unexpectedly. She became paralyzed while I was at work and we did everything we could to help her but it ended in her passing as she would have had no quality of life. It's been a month of pure heartache for me as we have no children. We have a 10 yr old Cocker Spaniel and while she is sweet, it's just not the same. Now we are thinking about adopting through a rescue organization.
