Hello out there in boxerworld!
My name is Bob and my wife Christina and I have found the most incredible friend we could have asked for in our 1 year old brindle male boxer named Mortie.
Although I grew up with dogs, I don't think I had any idea just how attached I could actually become to one until Mortie. He is at once dignified and goofy, silly and serious, cuddly and stoic, protective and friendly, obedient and headstrong, affectionate and playful, and always putting a smile on our faces.
As an (North) "American" boxer, Mortie appropriately joined the family on July 4th at 8 weeks. Our goal was to have the most friendly, socialized, and well-behaved dog that we possibly could and so far he has proved to be all of these things.
After some very serious health scares as a young puppy, he has grown into the bionic dog it seems, growing a little larger than the standard and larger already than his dad. Could it have been the anitbiotics?
Anyway, we cannot imagine our life without him and we look forward to talking with many of you who share our love of this amazing breed.
