Boxer Pal
Hello to all. Like all of you, I am a confirmed boxer lover and as far as I'm concerned, it's the greatest breed on the planet. Our first love came to us as a puppy rescue and provided seven years of joy for the entire family. My daughter managed to convince my wife to accept Daisy while I was off on a business trip. It was our first dog and the memories are still very strong and lasting. Upon arriving home late and checking on the kids I noticed what I first thought was a little stuffed animal under the chin of our sleeping 8-yearold son, that is, until it moved! It began a love affair with the boxer that is as strong now as it was then. After losing Daisy we adopted a beautiful flashy fawn boy named Lenex who we recently lost to CHF. I'll have more to say about our Lenex in another posting.

So, both my wife and I are confirmed animal lovers. We are empty nesters and live out in the wine country of Northern California. We are fortunate to each have home offices, so except for the occasional job related travel we have lots of time to devote to our animals.

What is it about the boxer that creates this spell they have over us? They take us all on this incredible journey that spans the depths of terrible sorrows and limitless joy. Through no fault of their own they leave much too soon. Still, knowing full well what we are likely to experience by bringing them into our lives, we are hooked, and for us, we will always have one by our side. Always.

We look forward to sharing with all of you in this forum in the days to come.
