Your dog is gorgeous!!! But I agree with him being a choc lab/boxer cross. Just an FYI, if the breeder bred a white boxer they are not a good breeder at all. It is unethical to breed white boxers since they are not part of the standard :)

Good luck with that baby he is a doll! :D

HE's so cute!! He does look to have some lab in him (my very unprofessionaly opinion;) ) Just looking at some of his pics reminds me of my parent's black lab. But, if he's lab/boxer you've got a good mix!!:p

I agree he's almost certainly a mix - the eyes and coat colour aren't in the boxer genes, so must come from something else. His eyes and expression remind me more a weimaraner than a lab...so perhaps another possibility. But he's a very beautiful boy just the way he is and if you love him that's all that matters lovicon

Agree with the consensus that a Chocolate lab was romancing somebody in the pedigree at some point, but he's a handsome boy, and if he wiggles and kisses, you've got the most important part!

I don't think your vet will have much to contribute on his purebred status -- as others have pointed out, he has traits that do not occur in boxers, so he's not a purebred boxer. Even if he had papers it wouldn't change anything.

As mixes go, lab/boxer is a pretty good one in general (See the Martha's Vineyard Black Dog, for example). You will have your hands full as he grows, though, because both are very energetic puppies (hopefully the lab side will kick in and he'll settle down before a boxer typically does :) )

Enjoy him!

He looks like he has lab in him.

It is possible that his mother bred to more than one male.
Puppies in litters can have multiple fathers.

I just looked at your pics and he is so adorable! I just LOVE the green eyes and he definitely has that Boxer mush and those cute lips! I have a friend that has a chocolate lab mix and they look very similar. Give your little guy a huge smooch from us!!

Definitely has a lab for parent. The color is dead on a chocolate lab and the eye color is not uncommon for that breed.

Now, I happen to LOVE Labs. My brother has a chocolate Lab named Rebel. My cousin has a chocolate Lab named Truffle. They are just the sweetest critters, next to Boxers of course.

Just love him for the wonderful pet I am sure he is :)

yes he looks like a chocolate lab/boxer mix. I had a black lab dalmation mix and she looked like a dalmation everywhere except the majority of her was black. So when they are crossed one parent might over take more of the gene than the other.. But he is absolutly georgeous. I wish boxers did come with green eyes...

My friend breeds labs and your guy has the exact colouring of her Nestle! Your guy looks to have some lab in him. I think my Luke also has lab in him. Your Bullet and my Luke look a lot alike (same build, longer muzzle) but my Luke is a REALLY checked fawn with a blue eye. Bullet is gorgeous though...a real one of a kind! Luke's Dad is an 'unknown' sneaky farm dog...luckily I found him in time before the nasty farmer shot all the pups.:(

Hey,
I didn't get to see the pictures of your dog, but i do want to let you know that i have 2 boxers and one of them has a chocolate mask and nose. Her name is Maggie. She also has yellowish green eyes. My husband says if the light hits them jut right they look blue. They use to when she was a puppy, but i dunno anymore. My boys name is Logan, but he has the black mask and the black nose. They're brother and sister. When i got Maggie i knew she was rare, but no idea how rare until i went to the vet and tried to find another boxer like her online. She's exactly like her brother except for one thing. The vet told me that the reason Maggie had a mahogany mask and nose was because she had a chromosome deficiency. Nothing major or anything that would affect her health, it just took all of the black color that she should have been born with out of her pigmentation. She's a beautiful girl and if i can get my camera working i'll see if i can get some pictures up here. I just wanted to let everyone know that even though no one has seen a dog like Maggie through a boxer/boxer litter, that under rare circumstances it happened.

Cilla;)
