Boxer Insane
This is my grandmother's recipe,it's tranditional and very delicious
2 pounds ground beef (or 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground pork)
1/2 cup grated onion
1/2 cup fresh parsley(dry if you havn't fresh)
fresh or dry mint
4-5 slices white bread
salt and pepper
1 clove of fresh garlic(chopped)
2 eggs
flour for rolling
vegetable oil for frying
Moisten the bread in water for awhile, then remove the crusts and mix
the meat, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, mint, parsley and bread(don't express the water from the bread very well,it needs to keep water)
Shape into balls, roll in flour and fry in hot vegetable oil, when meatballs are cooked leave them on a paper for awhile to "pick up"the oil,you could serve meatballs hot or at room temperature.
Here we serve hot keftedakia with fried potatoes and Greek salad or with spagetti and tomato sauce or as appetizer hot or at room tem.
on a dish with pieces of gruyere, feta, tomatoes, olives, salami and ouzo or beer
