I'm new at this so I hope I am doing it right! My Baxter is 3 1/2 months old now. Potty training is slow, but steady. My question--when should my pup start letting me know he has to go??? Is there something I could be doing to teach him to let me know. Right now he understands when I tell him "Outside, potty" and he'll head for the door, but he hasn't yet come to me when he has to go. If I don't get him out, he goes where he is! Any ideas???
At 3.5 months, its still up to you to make sure that you notice and get him outdoors - so that he'll learn that pottying is an outdoor-only activity. With vigilence and consistency, you can expect him to 'get' the outdoor-only thing by around 6 months.
