Gooey Gunky Girl -HELP!

I just recieved an e-mail from my SIL about all the things that WD-40 can do, perhaps this will help get the grease off Nysa. And as Jan had mentioned the peanut butter, I know it works on getting gum out of hair.

Okay-you guys are the BEST The peanut butter totally worked! Sorry, no pics, hubby is working so I had to do the whole deal on my own. Lathered her up with it, left it on ten minutes (while she feverishly tried to lick it off and I had to put my boy in the house because she was just a giant treat at this point) than brushed against her coat and YEAH!!!! No more gooey stuff. Gave her a bath and now she is the most gorgeous girl in town And her new nickname is Peanut Butter Cup. Thanks again. I am still amazed at the depth of wisdom on this site!

Thanks for posting this thread. It reminds me of a time when Sophie got into goop and we never figured out what it was!! This happened about the time Ghostbusters came out and we simply told people she'd been slimed!! Fortunately her slime washed off with soap and water. I was going to suggest the skunk odor recipe(I don't know why??-we just have a lot of skunks around here):

1 qt 3% hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 tsp dish soap

But it sounds like peanut butter worked great!! Katie would have licked at Scrappy like he was a giant popsicle!!

What a great visual!! I'm glad the peanut butter worked, and I bet it gave her coat a great sheen, almost like a doggy spa treatment! Did you ever find out what it was she rolled in?

We took Jaida out for a country walk and she rolled in a deer carcaus. Here's a recipe our vet gave us. Worked wonders for us, hope it works for you.

In a large container, a sink or a tub; mix 1 quart hydrogen peroxide, ¼ baking soda, 1-2 tablespoons of dish soap. Now carefully sponge this over the offensive areas on the dog and be very cautious to not get any of the liquid to the dog's eyes. Let it soak for 5 minutes or more and then rinse it off and now shampoo your dog with his regular mild shampoo and rinse again.
