just a vent

I just wanted to say that I was excited about going to a bash here in Michigan but now I read that you can't let your dog off it's leash...I don't think that will be much fun for me or the dog. Oh well.

whats wrong with that?

thats going to be a lot of games and stuff i think its good the dogs can't be offleash. because if there were 300 boxers there any every one was offleash at one time im sure something bad would happen

so are you not going now?

I'm going and I went last year and the year before. We're taking some new friends that have never been. Come and check it out I know you'll have fun.

maybe

I didn't really expect every dog to be running around unleashed but I did think that there would be groups breaking off here and there letting their boxers play. That's what I kind of had in mind. I do agree that 300 boxers running wild would be a bad thing. I do want to go but I feel like there is a lot of pressure to donate lots of money...am I wrong? I don't mind donating but it does seem a little high pressure when I read the schedule...maybe I'm wrong...I've never been to anything like this and I want to make sure it's going to be something I and Copper enjoy and not regret. Can someone give some feedback?

No Pressure Here!

Hi-

The MMBR Boxer Bash was a HUGE success (despite Mother Nature trying to rain on our parade!). We had over 100 people show up with about 1/2 that number, if not more, in Boxers (including a couple of "wannabe boxers").

There were plenty of games (no cost involved) - egg races, pie eating contest, along with the King & Queen of the Bash ($5 entry fee). I think a lot of people appreciated the opportunity to meet other boxer owners in the area, and there was plenty of playtime going on - even on leash.

Sure, we had items for sale, and even did a live auction - but I hope that no one felt pressured to spend any money unless they saw something they couldn't live without!

I hope that you will come out next year!
