God speed Ashlee

Hi friends. Just a quick post to let you all know that I had Ashlee put to sleep this afternoon. It was perhaps one of the hardest things I have ever done. She is now happy, pain free, and an angel on our shoulders. My children are handling it much better than I thought they would. I guess all of the preparation helped. Skyy is going to be allowed to paint a big red heart with a message to Ashlee on it in the laundry room...which is where Ashlee slept. She asked me to wash Ashlee's bed and put it on her bed as a pillow. I have already done that. My DH is on a very important business trip that he can not leave. The poor man continues to call and e-mail to check on us constantly. Thank you all for your support. It means more than words can say.

Oh Cheryl, I am very sorry. I was just thinking of Ashlee as I had recalled your recent post about her and your children. What a beautiful creative way for Skye to honor Ashlee. She was very lucky to have such a wonderful loving family.
