giving your boxer a bath, how often?

Roxanne gets a bath everytime she manages to sneak into the bathroom when I am in the shower! She loves to get into the shower and climbs right in if you dont close the door :eek: :eek: . I usually use a mild oatmeal based or sometimes cedar based shampoo.

The only reason Lexus gets a bath every other week is becuase of the mange :( I felt like I needed to be doing something to get all the dead skin off. Now it is turning black and flaking off and I'm sure it itches so I bought some Aveno and give her a bath twice a month or more now. My poor little pooper :( Ram never gets a bath. I avoid that as much as possible. He's the worst at giving a bath. He shakes and runs and jumps on the bed. Brandon will throw water on him in the morning and make him jump in the bed with mommy. I hate it. =) Ram thinks it hilarious! If he could laugh I'm sure he would

hi everybody,

I have a 16 month old boxer he has had 4 baths since i had him at 12 weeks the only time i have to bath him is when he rolls in some yukey smelling stuff everybody must know what that is!!!! when he does have one he doesnt really like it he is not a water lover but he does tolerate it. I was told that boxers are very clean dogs and dont need to have baths that often.

I have gotten to were we bathe Snoop like once a week. Is that bad??? He loves to be outside alot and go snooping around and he just starts stinking real bad and my mom says "MEGAN!!! He stinks!!!" hehe I hope I am not doing anything bad though. He too likes to climb in the shower with his mama!!!

I would talk to your vet about what shampoo to use that often. You may dry his skin out. But I bet you have one of the best smelling boxers on the board!:D
