Thanks everyone - some great suggestions amongst them. Of the suggestions so far I really like Maui, Cha Cha and Hula. Hula in particular as I have always loved the name Tallulah but thought it was a bit long for a dog's name (prefer 2 syllables max) and that is a cute (kind of) abbreviation of that name.

3 weeks now until she arrives - can't wait.

I like Tallulah with it shortened to Hula :)

I really like Maui, Hula and Tula. I also likes Reyna. I really liked the name Bacci (As in the game bacci-ball) It is Italian, meaning kisses. All the names are unique.

I agree with Natasha, Maui is really cute and very original.
We almost named Lucy Lu, Roxy, but said no at the very last minute.

It is really fun to name your puppy by taking things around you....
We liked Lucy Lu because it was an L name...new mom is Lillie.
We really wanted to incorporate May in there somehow because she was born in may.

Just name her something cute so you don't feel silly while you are outside yelling down the street at your puppy....and everyone will look at you funny! :)

I know it is not a dance or beachy themed name, but I was just on the FLBR (Florida Boxer Rescue) website and saw a Boxer girl with a very cool name. She is named Vesta after the Goddess of Home and Hearth. I thought it was a very unique name, and the way Boxers take over the home, it may be appropriate.

Two weeks to go.....

I see we have some more great suggestions from you guys - thanks. A name a friend thought of was "Rizzo" (from Grease). I thought it could be a great name for the right pup - she would have to be a bold and bossy pup.... at this stage I have no idea of my pups personality. She is coming from across the other side of the country and the breeder is a little slow on sending info and pics of her (not happy about that). She is one of a litter of five.

Keep the suggestions coming. As I said previously we won't actually name her until she arrives.

red alert - there has been a change

Hi everyone

There has been a major change to the little girl we were getting - she has become a boy and is now white with brindle eye patches..... :LOL: Long story cut short - this guy (in my gallery) was my first choice pup but for various reasons did not happen. Much to my surprise and joy I am now able to have him (I hope, although he hasnt arrived yet). I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch so to speak - but it is about 99% definite he will be mine by Friday. Fingers crossed.

Therefore we now need a boys name - lets start again with the ideas.
