Sir Gregory is due to come home tomorrow afternoon. To tell the truth, I am getting really nervous about it. I need to be pumped up. Such a small little fella is feeling to intimidating today. Any advice? :)

Are you getting cold feet? hehe I get the same way too. Just take a deep breath and relax. Afterall you have the best boxer resource in the world here at Boxerworld. Anything that comes up you can just do a search and get a quick answer! All you have to remember is too enjoy them when they are little because it seriously seems like they are only that way for a second. Get your lips ready because you'll be doing lots of KISSING tomorrow. Congrats.

I was nervous before Austin came home, too, and he was 2 years old! I think it's only natural, but as soon as that little guy gets there you'll forget all about being nervous, and all you'll feel is excitement and love!

Don't be nervous (though I don't blame you)! BW is here for any questions you may have. Just be sure to have lots of towels, paper towels and Nature's Miracle/Simple Solution or something else to remove the "scent" after any accidents!

Keep us posted on how things work out. I'm sure you'll fall in love with the little guy the second he falls asleep in your lap!

I felt the same way when we were waiting for Hogan to be old enough... My husband was laughing at me because he had grown up with Boxers but this was my first one. We got Hogan at 7 weeks and 3 days old and when he was 9 months old, we got him a big sister, Hilda (Rescue). Hogan is now 16 months old and I miss those little puppy days. Enjoy every minute of it, because it doesn't last long! BTW - two is all the more fun! We will always have more than one boxer.

It's not so bad...

It's actually very wonderful. We brought our little girl home just about two months ago and I wouln't change it for the world. Although I am now just begining to relax a little with her. I was and some say I still am so protective of her but I just want the best for my girl.
Enjoy you new bundle of fur cause they really are a wonderful breed and the people here at BW are simply amazing if you have any questions at all so don't hesitate to ask I didn't and the knowledge I have gained here is truly been beneficial to me and to my Molly.
As Layla's mom said be ready for kisses because once you see that face you can't resist and niether can they.

Advice: TRY to relax. :) and plan on spending time for the both of you to get to know each other and start your new life together.
I had a bad case of nerves before we picked our baby brindle boy up from the breeders. I had never had a dog, so despite all the research on puppies and boxers, when the reality hit, I was actually scared. That didn't last too long. As soon as I took him in my arms, his little nub going a mile a minute, and that little pink tongue giving me baby boxer kisses, it was over. Not to say that I wasn't a paranoid, hovering mother for a while (my husband says I still am! ), but after we got into a routine, the jitters went away. You will be fine! :) You have a lot of work ahead of you to be sure, but the returns are worth every single effort. Welcome to little Sir Gregory, your new bundle of love and joy!! Do come back to Boxerworld for info and to let us know how you're doing.

Completely Boxer Crazy
I was scared to death when I got Luka. I wanted a dog for about 4 years before getting him and spent that time aranging my life for a dog. The day before, I was freaking out so bad, I cou;dn't even think about it. Heck, even the first week or so I was in shock- and I had about a million "What have I done" moments.
Don't worry, everything will be fine. It will be rough for awhile- potty training is the worst. Just have plenty for him to chew on and lots of toys- puppies get bored easily. And remember- a tired puppy, is a good puppy! Good Luck!

Once this little guy gets into your lap and cuddles up to you, you will just melt and fall in love. Boxers are so smart and loving and like anything else, you will figure it all out as you go. You should be bouncing off the wall with excitment...you are about to get an amazing little mush ball. Just prepare youself for tons of smooches and I warn you, you are about to fall madly in love.

When we went to look and Nestle, we had no intention of getting a dog but once we met her, we fell in love.

Congratulations and best of luck.

BW is an amazing place filled with great resourses and advice!!
