My boy Famechon was a shocker! Clear a room in seconds (is that why we can't get friends over for dinner??). Started feeding him a tablespoon of yoghurt (natural, no fruits, etc) with his evening meal. Success! He still farts long and loud, but the smell has (mostly) gone. Now if I could do something about the frequency of his farts...
Yup, my pringle used to really let rip . sometimes he,d turn to check nothing else "passed" along the way. His other trick was slurping half a bowl of water on the floor then stretching up to me on the settee & burping in my face, still licking his lips then if I was "lucky" I,d get another snorter for good measure.
I cant remember if he got worse as he aged coz it was always bad.
I recon boxers should be getting blamed for global warming!!

Success!!! I switched Jackson's food from Nutro Natural Choice Ultra to Nutro Natural Choice Lamb & Rice Large Breed Puppy... and i've been giving him the 1 T. plain non-fat yougurt at night. He LOVES it, and his gas has been MUCH less, though they still still sneak up on us occasionally, they are nowhere NEAR the magnitude!! YAY Nutro for Sensitive Boxer-Bellies!

I finally ask my vet about gas relief.
He told me you can give them simethicon (sp) Such as gas-x, pepto bismol, etc. Man does it make a difference! fiesta1ico Now, we can actually breathe in the house.

I'm laughing so hard I'm near tears! Poor Rocky is looking at my like "what's wrong with mom!" He's tooted so bad I shooed him out of my room at 3am! Thought I was gonna die! It was so bad I could barely breathe! And yes, when he farts loud, he looks around like "what the *bleep* was THAT!"
Rocky's sometimes are so bad, mostly after Greenies. I switched him to a mostly protien diet and so far, all is quiet. He's on Kirkland's Best (Costco brand) Lamb and Rice (corn free) and Trader Joe's Beef Dinner & Chicken Dinner (both canned). I mix 3/4 cup of dry with 1/4 can wet twice a day. He loves it! This was recommended by the vet.

Duchess smells so bad almost every day! She does it several times an hr and if she is laying on the couch she will do it (loud enough so we can all hear her) then she will look at her butt and jump off the couch to lay on the floor. She offends everybody! My roomates leave the room and my fiance will go sit on the other couch! So yeah...she's nasty..but shes my baby

Well I have learned that this can be prevented! The foul smell is likely due to corn or corn based ingredients in your dogs food. Boxers have a horrible time at digesting corn based grains. So take a look at the feeding link on boxerworld and I guarantee you (and your dog) will find relief!! The california natural OR Innova are excellent choices for food. Purina (which is what I was feeding and found out how poor quality it really is) is one of the worsts for gas. Trial and error I suppose, but stay away from the corn ingredients!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.

Has it but it doesn't smell.
Oscar has gas all the time. I hear it all the time. He is just walking along and whoosh .But it doesn't have a smell, weird huh. I feed him Canidae ,I don't know if that makes a difference. Oh and he belches almost everytime he drinks water, it reminds me of when my brothers were teenagers. It is so loud.
