Kozette, you beat me!

One of the volunteers called this afternoon and they told her that Candy was out for her spay because she'd been adopted. She'll call back tomorrow just to double-check and make sure!

But YAY for Candy!!!

I was checking the website just a bit ago and didn't see her picture anymore with the other listings---- I hope the others find homes soon as well!

Oh thank goodness!

I was thinking about driving to get her tomorrow. My BF would have killed me! I am so glad she found a home. I hope that someone takes good care of her and loves her forever after all she has been through!

To everyone who rescuses: Thank you for all that you do!

Rockin "P" Rescue was prepared to get this girl on Friday if needed. I was going to foster her. She was adopted this morning befoe noon when I called to check. The shelter was surprised how many great boxer people had been calling and checking on her. She was already at the vet for her spay this afternoon!

Is here any way to check on Candy through her adopted family? Maybe tell them about Boxerworld so we can get up dates on her. I guess I am nosey. But I like happy endings.

I was thinking about her yesterday. I hope she lives her remaining years in comfort and happiness. :)

I think what saddens me most is that they use the world unavailable. We all know that means euthanized - put to sleep - dead.

You know how they ask beauty contestants what their platform would be if they won the pageant? Their one thing to change the world? Mine would be to have every American, that is NOT a reputable breeder, to spay/neuter their pets.

I know that through BW alone, we have convinced many people to spay/neuter their pets, but it's only through education that we can get more people to do so.

Maybe we could make it a goal of BW for every member to educate at least one person a month about the benefits of spay/neutering their pets?
