Super Boxer
My mil related the following to me and I laughed SO HARD! I just had to share..
So my mil was waiting at the vet's the other day while her mini-schnauzer was in emergency surgery and struck up a conversation with a couple who was bringing their 'baby'--a young boxer--in to have it's stomach pumped (apparently this was their 3rd visit of it's kind. This boxer it seems is particularly naughty and likes to eat all manner of crazy things; this time around he had eaten an entire bottle of vitamin D!
The boxer owners were a nice couple, described to me as a short, plump German woman of about 70 and her skinny little Indian husband. Inevitably my mil and the German lady got to talking about their dogs. When the subject of walking came up, the conversation went something like this.
German lady: My boxer is such a bad walker, he pulls so hard, we have to walk him on a harness.
My mil: Oh yes, my husband and his wife find their boxer walks much nicer on a body harness too.
German lady: We use a special harness. The harness is for me!
Apparently this lady wears a specially made body harness to walk her dog! I can just picture this little struesel of a woman wearing a parachute harness and being pulled down the street by her 'baby'. It might be the funniest boxer story I've ever heard!
