Frustrated with the boyfriend (long - just need to vent)

I wouldn't have been able to even tell my ex about a boxer bash. He would have suggested some sort of counseling for me :rolleyes:

The next guy I meet must, I repeat, must LOVE dogs. I felt like I was leading this secret life on the side with John. There was him and then there was everything else in my life!

Hi Dave,

I ended it with him back in February I am 34 and he is 49. I had a moment of intense clarity one day and realized that yes, life is too short for this sh-- and I finally ended it with him - for good.

He has tried many little things and tactics to see me again. The latest was an email on Mother's Day - he wrote it from his dog to me. He knew that would tug at my heartstrings. He told me how much Ginger missed her mommy (me) and playing with Daisy. He asked me to bring Daisy over to play (he would not be there). I told him no thank you. I miss Ginger and I hope she is well but I am such a happier person now. The next man that enters my life must love and respect not only me but my kids and my puppies!!!

my fiance use to think i was nuts for the way i treated harley (my shih tzu)..he would make fun of me all the time. well he got duchess for me and he has gotten almost as bad as i do....i never fail to point that out to him!!

Hi Shannon..prob i'm late on this post but i was going thru BW and found that a lot was said about guys and their "non-love' towards dogs.Leme let u guys into a small story of mine.I had a GF here in india who wouldnt let me buy my boxer girl cos she felt i would end up spending more time wth my baby than her(its is a fact that i already spend a lot of time with my dane girl ;-)).I cant help it..i am an out and out dog person and my ideal date is smeting like taking the dogs for a run or a long drive(with my GF along of corse ;-)).Recently she got a chance to do her higher studies in ohio and she took off ,saying i can have a couple of dogs or more..it dosnt matter to her anymore..so wat was i??Stupid to put my plans on hold for her??well i guess so...sigh! :(

I'm not tryin to hurt anybodys sentiments here..just smeting i cld relate to..and its got noting to do with either sex....not all guys are "non-dog lovers"...the demarcation is just between a dog lover and one who is not..i have promised myself the next girl i go out with WILL have to love dogs..so we are all in the same boat i guess...
