Boxer Pal
Hello everyone..we have a neutered male boxer that just turned a year old..He is crate trained, has not went in his kennel in over 6 or more months and when he is out he goes to the door and sits and whines to go out..well he slept in his crate at night until last night we thought we would let him sleep on the floor beside our bed.(His too big to be in our bed with us) Need a bigger bed...anyhow we took all water away at 9:00pm,watched a movie and went to bed at 11:00pm but let all the dogs out to go potty..well I got woke up at 3:00am to the sound of Moses peeing...I have never had this problem,we have four other dogs and when we crate train we gradually leave them out until we are sure they go to the door or have some way of showing us they want to go out..I was very frusted with Moses and sat up all night thinking where we went wrong but I am very confused because we usually go to bed about 9:00 and my husband gets up for work at 6:00 and he never goes in his crate...did we go wrong somewhere? Did he just pee because he had more places to go lay down and doesn't have room in his kennel to pee and lay??? Any stories or input would be greatly appreciated, I know they say its the owners fault but I am just wondering where we went wrong, Moses is my anniversary gift and we have had him since he was 7 weeks so I really wanted him to be able to sleep in our room instead of in his kennel, our other four dogs have been out of their crates for atleast a year or more now. No dogs have ever pottied in our room so its not like he was peeing over another dogs, I am just very confused and frustrated, I hate him sleeping in his crate, I know the carpet had to feel alot better.
