Friend treated Dacee badly, he was on the brink of a butt kickin! (venting)

A couple of my DH's friends stopped by so we went outside to talk with them and I took Dacee out with me otherwise she would sit in the window & whine. Anyway, Ron (friend) says what a good girl Dacee is & wished that the boxer (female) that the other friend gave him was as behaved as Dacee is he would still have her, then he proceeded to tell me "the boxer I had was so d*** stupid, she would get into the garbage & this & that", I had politely & calmly told him that "dogs are only as stupid as their owners and that Dacee gets into the garbage & kitty litter also but that we are constantly on her to correct her & it takes alot of time & patience to mold a well behaved boxer!" that had shut him up but in the mean time while we were talking he took Dacee leash to play with her which was alright until she started getting wound up she grabbed her leash to play tug-o-war, well he goes "this is how you correct that" & he lifted her off the ground by her neck while the chain is still in her mouth :eek: OH BOY did I come unglued I told him "M***** F*****, you will never do that to her again I will kick your F A" & I snatched the leash from him, he had the nerve to say "well, thats how you train them" I told him " That's why your not a trainer cause your talking out your a**.
& don't you dare even look at Dacee anymore". I almost cried, I took her in the house & gave her tons of lovins & hugs! Thank god he doesn't have dogs anymore, well the one he had before, him & his wife got in an argument so he took & dumped it in the country somewhere. Then he got a pit puppy but was to lazy to house train it so he gave it back & the boxer ruined some stuff of his so he gave her back also. He makes me sick & mad!
I told my DH he doesn't ever need to darken our door step again!

I feel a little better now after venting.

Some people are so stupid when it comes to training dogs ....that is animal abuse !! I would have done the very something & my hubby would be second in line after me..That was so uncalled for.....and like you said ...they would never darken my door again ....!!! Its T's me off just talking about it ..!!! It makes me sick !!!

Glad Dacee was ok & you gave her lots to hugs & kisses ...I'm sure she'll never forget what he done .!!!

You just described my brother in law and HIS mentality about dog training. Can you believe there are still people out there that think this way? I know that not everyone is born with common sense, but, don't they pick up a book and learn about things that don't come natural to them?
