Found Brindle boxer

Hi all,
My boyfriend found a female boxer in NW Georgia late last fall (03). He was camping while on a river trip in the middle of nowhere and she showed up at his tent in the middle of the night. She was extremely thin and scrawny and obviously been either poorly cared for or stray for some time. She was intact (we had her spayed after a few months) and obviously had a litter of puppies. She is not microchipped and the vet thinks she's around 2 years old. She is not microchipped. We had contacted local shelters with our info but have had no luck. She is a sweet, sweet dog and appeared largely untrained, (although she could have been living on her own for quite sometime). Unfortunately, I didn't even think of checking on a purebred board until now and am wondering if there are other places to look. We love Bear (appropriately named as my boyfriend thought she was a bear when she was sniffing his tent in the dark ) and really do not want to give her up. However, we know that someone else may be missing her too!!!

My hat's off to you for continuing to look for her owners. I know how quickly you can get attached to these beautiful creatures and it must be hard for you to think you may have to give her back but it's the right thing to do!!

Wow you are doing the right thing....my hats off to you both!! I know how attached you can get to animals in general...but boxers are even worse for becoming our kids very quickly!! Hope this ends well...whatever the outcome...One positive in your favor (not neccessarily in hers) is how you found her....sounds alot like she was a stray!! Good luck and keep us posted!!

Female boxer

My MIL lost her brindle boxer in a roll over accident on I-95 in 2004 . The dog has the pointed up ears , docked tail and has a whitish under belly with freckles . I walked I-95 for days after the crash but had no luck . the dog , her name is Jacki may have been completley scared to death the people on the scene said and could travel quite a distance . They loved her so and have missed her for years , my MIL has a 90 year old fiance whom she use to sleep with . I have not given up the search . If this sounds like her it would be a complete mairacle !

I don't think this would be the same dog since this dog was found in '03, not '04 when the accident happend.

Mt DH corrected me and said it was "03" . My girls are now 4 and they were just rolling over at that time . so it was 03 . I do have some pictures if you wish you can e-mail me or i can e-mail you . She is a brindle kinda strippy , has a white underbelly with freckles and black around the eyes , the white under her belly travels up thru the front and thru the middle of the face , she would be 4-5 now . Her ears are up and has a docked tail .

Here is my best description
Brindle boxer , kinda stripped , brown , black and white
White with freckles on her belly ,the white runs up her chest thru the middle of her eyes .
Black around the eyes .
Docked tail
Docked ears up
Would be about 4 1/2 - 5 now .
White patch on the back of her neck .
From the picture ssent it is hard to tell but she has white feet too it looks like and goes part way up the legs .

I must say how amazingly harsh this board is . I am trying to help find this dog and all I have gotton as far is harsh critism . I did not post any personal information on these boards ! I thought this board was for the love of boxers , must have been terribally wrong :O(

I don't consider that "harsh" at all. I could have just deleted your account and removed you as a member when you first failed to post your Introduction (which is what we normally do).
