Found a lump

I'm so friggin mad right now.....and startled, in shock and disbelief.
Was petting Raine and felt "something" and immediately had that sinking feeling I had experienced so many times with Cami.
Took me a second to find it again....always the case.
I have not looked at it yet. Too terrified plus we all know how hard those very small, skin colored lumps are to see in their short hair. It's on her back just an inch or so away from her spine. Her hair in that area has always been a bit rougher in texture so I was really hoping it was that but I can't deny what I felt no matter how small it is.
I would love to say that I am not going to bother with it for the typical 3 day "wait and see" period but knowing me I will have the clippers out tonight and shave that area so I can get a better look.....but I don't want to see it.
I look at her sweet, adorable....but naughty face and don't want her to know what I am feeling right now.
DH will just tell me that it is all in my head. He won't even feel the lump. I know it is just a coping mechanism for him but this can't be ignored.
I need some magical fairy dust to make this all go away.

Sending some fairy dust your way...as boxer owners we all freak out at the slightest bump or lump. However, it could very well b just a fatty benign cyst. Hate it when u find these things on the weekend. Try 2 stay calm and take her in when u can. I'm praying 4 u.

Oh man Susi... I know the EXACT feeling you've got right now... ugh. You know what I went through with Tuff, and Thora has had 3 lumps already. Thank god they have ALL gone away. She had a real nasty looking histiocytoma on her little nipple when she was real young that went away in a 3 or 4 weeks. It was red so I was pretty sure it was a histio. Then around 1 yr she developed 2 tiny ones on her legs. They stuck around for a little while and I was getting really worried about them, but I promised myself I wasn't going to work myself up like I did with Tuff and just keep an eye on those suckers. And I did. They're BOTH gone now :) Well at least I assume both- the one I watched first get bigger and then slowly get smaller before disappearing entirely. The other one I can't find anymore so I assume it's also gone. Infected hair follicles? Who knows. Anyways, wanted to throw that out there because our girls are so similar it's like they came from the same mold.. personality and all! Try not to stress over it. If it's not gone in 3 days or 3 weeks that doesn't mean it never will :)

Raine, stop worrying your momma! lol.

I gave it the scratch test. Not happy with the results. It swelled up enough to be visible. Not a good sign.
Miracles happen every day so I am going to make a gallant effort to pray this thing away.

Susi, BREATHE! I know how easy it is to freak out. I also know that freaking out doesn't help. There is lots of love, prayers, and positive, healthy (((vibes))) coming to Raine. Thor & I know for a fact they are strong and can work miracles!
