I just got my new 2 dog leash for Maggie and Susie. I can't believe the difference it makes. They walk together nicely, no tangling of leashes, they have freedom to move in front of, back of, around to the side of each other and Daddy stays well in charge of both girls.

If you have multiple dogs and walk them with a leash, you might want to check out this link. I found after exhaustive searches for just the right leash for these dogs.

http://2dogleash.com/

On our first walk the improvement was astounding to me. They behaved so much better and the walk was so much more pleasant and enjoyable for me and for them. Also they are guaranteed for life. If your dog(s) chew them in half or the leads get destroyed, return the remaining components and they'll replace it free of charge!!!! Not a bad deal. They are somewhat more expensive than traditional nylon and some leather leads, but not by that much. And now that I have one, I think it is well worth the money.

Check out their website in case you're interested.

Dan wow sounds great. I will check it out! BUT they don't get tangled up? What about them pulling? I use a choke collar on Jazz so she wont pull. I guess I can still use that with the leash?

Thanks for the info!

Susie is a bit of a leash puller. However, with this 2 dog leash, she pulls, but pulls Maggie instead of me, so much. Once they got used to being "together" if they pulled, they pulled me at the same pace, rather than one pulling and the other not. It is a little tricky to get used to, but it works and works well, at least for me.

They don't get tangled. It is the design and the materials, I guess, but there is no tangling when they move around each other. The only time I got tangled in it is when one of the dogs moved around me and the other dog from behind and one was in front of me. But with this leash, I can keep them both in front or to one side (they even lined up single file nicely when we were in a lot of pedestrian traffic) much more easily with this leash.

I think you need to see it to understand it. I would think you could use it with any type collar you have on your dog. I have traditional leather collars on mine and I just attach the leads to them and we're off!!

Can you leash correct one without affecting the other? I've wondered about these but always figured if I was to correct one for pulling or something I would be correcting the non puller also, don't want to confuse a behaving dog.;)

Dan, so happy to hear that works for you.

I'm still working on having mine walk together. I got a leash coupler and the first time using it was a nightmare!! Bailey would duck under it and try to go the opposite direction. :p Remy didn't like Bailey pulling him, so he just stops walking and puts his head down! Bailey continues to pull and almost pulls Remy's collar off.

I did take them to the park the other day (no one there, so no distractions) and walked very slowly with lots of praise and lots of treats. They did a little better, but still have a long way to go.

Guess we just need more practice!

The "coupler" part is long enough (if you get Large or Xtr Large size) that you can reach down and correct the offending dog without affecting the other one. I did that a couple of times. Also with pulling, if one is pulling and the other not, I gave a little tug and my command "Susie, Easy!" and it tugged on Susie but not Maggie, who was not pulling. Worked well.

Like I said, it took us about 5 minutes into our first walk to get used to it, but after that it was really nice.

I just looked at the website a little more. This leash looks like it would be better than the coupler that I have. My coupler is only about 4" on either side. Remy is almost a head taller than Bailey, so with the coupler, they have to walk right next to each other.

Anyway, what size did you get, Dan? And did you get the comfort handle?

I have always been interested in getting one, but they always seemed so short, this one seems much longer. I usually walk Nikki, the walk the other two. I see they have a three dog leash, but don't know that I would have the courage to take all three. One bunny rabbit and I am doing a face drag across pavement!

Thanks Dan, I may have to order one.

I did not get the comfort handle. But it looks like a nice thing to add (always an afterthought with me) :)

I got the LARGE DOG size. This seems just about right for my smallish girls. However, if you have disparate height dogs, then I would recommend the X-LARGE size, which will give you more coupler lead length.
