The weather is getting warmer & warmer around here. We only give Nikki flea preventatives in the warm/hot months. The last one we used was Hartz flea drops (not sure if that's the best). What do you guys use on your Boxers?

I use Advantage. I have tried Frontline but will have fleas by mid-month. Advantage keeps fleas off for over a month! It is pretty buggy in Florida and Advantage has come out with a flea, tick, and mosquito formula that has done very well in trials. Frontline advertises for ticks also but doesn't do a thing in tick season around here.
I like the idea about garlic!

I used to use Advantage on Sergeant, but for the last two years I haven't used anything as he hasn't been bothered with fleas.
Maybe it is because we put some garlic powder in his food every day or it may be the Chinese herbs he has in his food. I don't like giving them anything if they are going to be O.K. without.

Hmm, garlic? That sounds like something we'd like to try. Will fresh garlic be just as good as powder garlic?

I don't think it matters about whether the garlic is fresh or powdered. Jessica says that she uses fresh garlic three times a week. We don't put too much , just a sprinkling mixed in with the food.
