We have a 5 month old male fawn Boxer named Tug. This dog is great! He already weighs about 45 pounds. It's hard to believe he was just 7 pounds when we brought him home. He's great with our 3 yr old daughter. His best friend is our Tabby cat. They wrestle endlessly. The cat kicked his butt when he was smaller, but now the cat's head fits his mouth (Tug's too nice to actually hurt the cat). Do boxers have a farting problem? Tug can clear the room faster than anyone. Tug has already graduated from an 8 week obedience class and behaves great. He is AKC, but we have misplaced his registration papers (still looking). We've never had a dog that gives so many kisses. He'd lick your skin off if you stood still long enough. He starts therapy dog training next week. Hmmm... don't know much else to say since this our first entry. Gotta go.

Hi there and welcome, nice to meet you and Tug, such a cute name. Check out boxer traits at the beginning of the chit chat forum, you'll find boxers love to give kisses and yes they can clear the room with their farts too  Can't wait to see some pictures of Tug. Enjoy the forums!

Hi and welcome to BW. Tug sounds like a great dog. You may want to try giving him a tablespoon of plain yogurt to help with his gas. It has worked wonders for Joe, and he loves it too!

Howdy, and welcome to Boxerworld. You're going to love your new Boxer. We've been owners for about 1 1/2 years and love our girl Bailey a little more every day. And she can also cut some gas. We've put her on Purina Exclusive dog food and I think this has really helped out. The only trouble is, is that we can only get this food at a feed store, but she loves it.

Also, I like your dogs name. Tug of war is Bailey's favorite game and she can tug until my arm falls off and then she just goes for my wife, or anyone else around to pull. But then she'll also lick you to death for playing with her.

Take care,

Dale, Elayne & Bailey.

Hi and welcome to BW. Yes you are so right gas is a major problem in our house too along with snoring and licking and slobbering. I have a seven month old boy called Oscar and he has a lovely way of getting my husband out of bed in a morning. He jumps on the bed licks him to death untill he rolls over then flops down in the warm spot where he was lying and lets out a big sigh ooh heaven. They are just so adorable how can you not love them to bits!

need assistance

I would like to post pictures of our Boxer, Tug. I am a network administrator, but still cannot figure out this site. As with most computer geeks, I am probably just missing something simple. Can someone help? Thanks.

Yippertug,

Do you mean that you want to post an icon of Tug next to your username with each of your posts? You can do that under "User CP" above. Just go to "Edit Options" and scroll to the bottom for the area where you can choose to use a custom avatar. You'll need to upload the pic from your computer. There are size limitations -- no larger than 64x64 pixels, and 9000 bytes in size.

Hope this helps. :)
