I don't run out of dog food but I do run out of people food

You sound like me! I have to snack on kibble sometimes! :eek: I'm totally kidding! But seriously.... I'm better at remembering to buy dog food than I am to stop at the grocery store on my way home from work to get something for dinner! :confused:

Oh my gosh! My dogs were spoiled last night! I felt so bad because they did get to eat until about 8 pm last night as the food had to cool down. I added some ice cubes to accelerate the process. Tonight, I fed them their normal kibble and they sniffed at it and turned their noses up and walked away!!! Later, they got hungry enough to eat. Thank you to everyone for your support! I don't feel like a bad Mom anymore, I just did the best I could. I hope I haven't created finicky dogs!!!

I have on occasion run out of food and have fed the girls what we were having...

I always buy the dog goodies first, before I shop for the DH and I...

LOL, that's funny. Yes, I have had that happen once or twice. But usually I KNOW I need to get food, but get so busy that I never get to the feed store before they close. On those occasions Stormie has dined on a mixture of some of the following foods: Tilapia filets, rice, eggs, cheese, canned chicken, raw ground turkey or beef. She won't eat any veggies, so I figure she'll have to skip them for that meal, .

I have run out of dog food before but not because I forgot, because the order hasn't come soon enough. I have to order my food from Petfooddirect because we don't have decent food around here.

I always have a stock of canned food in the cupboard as I buy a case every now and again whether we need it or not so if we run out of dry food, they get canned food or whatever I can scrounge up. These dogs don't go hungry, that is for sure!

I did notice that the local Tractor supply started to carry Nutro Ultra also instead of the regular Nutro, so in a pinch, that will be an option for us.

Don't feel bad, you did well and the dogs loved their meal, I am sure.
