Ive always thought Depp was a remarkable actor. He takes risks and chances that no other actor would DARE take and he makes it work. He is so intense and thorough and his characters are so well drawn and conceived that he is like a chameleon when he acts. I truly admire his work and will watch most anything he is in. He did several big films lately, which unfortunately didn't do too well at the box office, although I get the feeling he really doesn't care about box office stuff, he's more into the art of acting. How cool that you are related. He's always been someone I've wanted to sit down with and talk to and get inside his head.

I just watched an independant film called "when night falls" about a Cuban author trying to escape Castros grip, Johnny played a cuban general and a drag queen in a cuban prision, I was like "Hey that's Johnny Depp!!" He looks pretty good in a dress too I agree he is a GREAT actor!! All the way back to 21 jump street...

I want to add Gary Oldman to my list. He is a great actor and his characters are always memorable. I think one of my fav's is his role in The Fifth Element and Dracula. I can't wait to see him in the next Harry Potter movie.

Boxer-newbie-did you see Benicio in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas with Johnny Depp? That's my fav movie with him in it, he was too funny! Dodgn_AK-have you seen Gary Oldham in Immortal Beloved? It's about Ludwig Von Beethoven, great, great, great movie. That's my all-time fav movie. He's also great in the Professional, anything with Gary Oldham in it is the best! I have a bunch of fav movies!
