my two boxers have the worst smelling farts. Im not talking about a fart that you can stand the smell of, by a fart that could clear out an entire stadium. Really, no joke. but it is not all the time. I am feeding them nutro ultra kibble and one week they have no gas and the next watch out. If anyone could help me with my situation my nose would really appreciate it. Thank you so much and smell ya all later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I know where you are coming from. I'm sure you too have experienced the farts where they look back at their behinds and sniff around like 'did that come from ME?' then walk away! Yes, Asia is well known for those! She has cleared herself out of a room numerous times!!

Her gas has gotten much better, or we've just gotten more used to it, one or the other, but I have heard something along the lines of yogurt - if you put a tablespoon of yogurt in with their food I think it is supposed to help the gas.

I don't have any other words of wisdom, but I bet if you did a Search, you could come up with a lot more than I just told you!

Good Luck!! :D

I feel for ya. We have the nutro ultra farts going here too !!! Only here it's times 4. wouldn't be so bad if there was some kid of warning so you could save yourself before the blue fog hits-but no-it's SBD. It's eye burning, nose hair singing(sp), wallpaper curling, run for your life boxer gas. I put yogurt in their food and it does help, but if they don't have it for a couple of days-it's back with a vengence :)

As stated you may wish to give some yougart, thank god Max doesn't have many, as I am feeding him Natural Variety prarie, but when he was on Nutro Ultra he never had many if any at all. Maye it is the treats, as most of them are grain based.

Good luck,

I know exactly what you mean!! It's so bad here sometimes that if one of the two legged family members pulls the shirt collar over their nose, EVERYBODY does b/c they know what's coming...Then it's the parade of "Who dunnit" questions to the dogs - and of course, they all three look at each other with the "I didn't do it, did YOU??" looks.. Or when they are on the couch and that almost silent one hits and it scares them from their sleep and they jump and run..I'd venture to say we've seen it all with 3 of them but I won't say that for fear of what I haven't seen yet..lol..I tried yogurt but it didn't work all that well with these guys. We prefer the Febreze method of fighting farts. Spray, spray and then maybe spray some more..

Harley had this same problem when he was younger. It's actually almost a boxer trait LOL. We went to the pet shop and got him some gas pills. (they actually had a picture of a boxer on the bottle LOL). We gave him one a day like the bottle said and we haven't had any problems since. Sorry I can't remember the name of them.

You Know, I Thought That It Was The Treats Also, But The Treats That I Give Them Are All Natural Liver Treats. So That Leads Me To Believe That Is Not The Problem. Thanks For All Your Replies They Are Cometic

I guess I am lucky! When Napoleon gets gas, all I have to do is give him yogurt and it is gone. But, when I am out of yogurt, I have to leave the room. LOL.

Gas Gas Gas

It seems to me gas is a real boxer problem, I keep seeing that yogurt works to help this problem. Can someone explain, please? What kind, how much and how often?

I just started giving both my boxers 1 tbs plain yogurt. In each of there meals. one in the morning and one at dinner. It help a little bit, but I guess that it is different for each dog. They really like the taste of it in there food. I would just stick with plain though, i wouldn't feed them vanilla or anything.
