Eye Color...Standard?

My girlfriend has a boxer with what my husband calls "Yellow Eyes" (Husband is a major beagle dog man!!!) Girlfriends dog is a purebread CKC Boxer. His eyes make him look alittle different than most boxers but, he is very handsome and very much loved!!

i believe pups usually have a bluish tint to their eyes, and as they get older, they will darken to a dark brown. My 2 have very dark eyes that sometimes seem to just blend into their dark masks!

ps. CKC (Continential KC) is a registering body for BYB's and puppymills. This can explain why your girlfriend's boxer's eyes are yellow... its a result of not-so-good breeding.. as mentioned earlier.

If your friend's dog is CKC registered, then she could either be registered with the Canadian Kennel Club (which is reputable) or the Continental Kennel Club (not reputable). I'm sure that the Canadian Kennel Club doesn't much appreciate sharing their acronym with the alternative. Honestly, this is the first time I've heard of the Continental Kennel Club; until now, I've always assumed that when people referred to the CKC they were referencing the Canadian Kennel Club.
