Completely Boxer Crazy
How true. If you do not have a signifigant other who loves your animal/s like you do, you do need to think about these things. Bit of a downer to think about tho:(
I don't know which is worse, if you go first and leave them or if they do. I'll just stay here in denial where i can be happy all of the time.

You have got to be kidding me. I love dogs and all, but it's definitely worse if we go before them, i cant believe someone would think that its better to die before there dogs.

If you know your dog will be well-cared for, there should be no shame or sadness in wanting to go first. It's the same with a spouse. I'd hate to be the one left alone.

I can understand, what they mean. . .don't point fingers!

thats crossing the line though. It's basically choosing a dog's life over a humans life.

I'm not sure I'm understanding what you're saying. . .choosing a dogs life over a human if you want to die first and leave your baby in the hands of someone who cares, so you don't suffer the loss of your baby when they die?
It's not putting the dog before a human, it's being selfish in not wanting to suffer the loss of your baby. Like I said, if your spouse cares for the dog as much as you, there is no shame in WANTING to die before your dog. It's the same with people, like I said. No one wants to be alone. . .I'd prefer it if Sean and I died at the exact same moment in our sleep, but we all know that is very unlikely. Someone will be left alone. . .and that sucks.

Or do you think it's wrong to plan for the future of our pets after we die? There is nothing wrong with that - it should be commended. Leaving money aside to care for your pet is commendable - not wrong.

i can agree with that, i must have read it wrong, to me it seemed like she would rather die than have her boxer die. My bad.

LOL- the only thing with message boards is that we cannot communicate through sounds, etc.

There are ALWAYS misunderstandings. . .
