I'm not sure I'm understanding what you're saying. . .choosing a dogs life over a human if you want to die first and leave your baby in the hands of someone who cares, so you don't suffer the loss of your baby when they die?
It's not putting the dog before a human, it's being selfish in not wanting to suffer the loss of your baby. Like I said, if your spouse cares for the dog as much as you, there is no shame in WANTING to die before your dog. It's the same with people, like I said. No one wants to be alone. . .I'd prefer it if Sean and I died at the exact same moment in our sleep, but we all know that is very unlikely. Someone will be left alone. . .and that sucks.
Or do you think it's wrong to plan for the future of our pets after we die? There is nothing wrong with that - it should be commended. Leaving money aside to care for your pet is commendable - not wrong.
