Sorry it`s been so long for a update on Max, I wanted to be sure where we stood before I posted.
I last reported on Sept. 30, that I was taking Max to a neurologist the following day, which I did, and what a long road it has been.
Max underwent surgery that day for what at the time was an unconfirmed herniated disk (later confirmed) which had caused fibrous tissues, which were adhered to the nerve roots on his spinal canal, surgery went well and he was sent home Oct. 6 for recovery, I wish it could end here, however, after several weeks home and showing signs of improvement we had another abrupt turn around, My Max was having extreme pain, and loosing ground-- so back we went again, after some more tests, and another MRI, and some more tests, a diagnosis was made, a condition called Diskospondylitis,(what is so very odd is that these 2 conditions that happened at the same time were not related) we are now 7 weeks into a 12 week treatment with antibiotics, and we had our follow up last week, Max`s prognosis is excellent, he is about 80% his old self again and still showing signs of improvement all the time, this is the short version of our experience, I just wanted to let everyone know that he is well on the road to recovery.
I am the happiest and luckiest mom around to still have my baby. and that is something I tell Mama`s Moo every single day, I absolutely have everything I want for Christmas!!!!!!!!
