Early Sweetest Day present for me!!!!

Here I am sitting at work on this boring, rainy day and in walks a guy from the local flower into the office. Of course I ask if I could help him and he said "Well these are for Ashley" I just got a big smile on my face and he handed me a really cute Sweetest Day mug filled with a dozen daisies (my absolute favorite flower) and a heart shaped balloon saying Happy Sweetest Day. I was so suprised. I just assumed that it was from my Mom, she's a major sweetheart, because earlier in the week my boyfriend said that he wasn't gonna be able to get me anything since money was has been really tight. Of course I told him I didn't care as long as we spent some quality time together that day.
So I slowly open the card and I see my bf's handwriting! He wrote me the sweetest note inside! I wanted to start crying because he isn't the most romantic, but that just made my day! Just had to brag on my BF for once! Hope everyone else has a great Sweetest Day too.

i'm jealous - i wish mark would do something like that (he is a not-so-hopeful romantic, but i love him anyway)! :o

when is Sweetest Day? i'm going to have to hint around to Mark about it, i didn't even know there was such a thing!

Sweetest Day is actully tomorrow. It's every third Saturday in October. It's kinda like Valentine's Day but not as lovey dovey! Some guy from Cleveland, OH came up with it I think in the early 20's. I try to get all my close friends cards on Sweetest Day along with my BF. And of course Ali will get a new toy, like he needs one anyways!

Being a florist and busy preparing flowers all week for the big day,
I gotta tell ya, I still enjoy being on the recieving end of a beautiful bouquet.
He just better get me some candy to go with them!!

I do have to admit, my new beau is the most romantic, sweetest, genuine man I have ever met...not a day goes by that he doesn't surprise me with something, whether it be a cup of tea waiting for me when I get out of the shower, or a note under the door when I'm taking a nap...it sure is nice to be surprised with the little things.

This week he has sent flowers twice, with the sweetest notes.

Ashley and the rest of you, I can have him do a "workshop" to teach your guys how to be romantic - just kidding. :)

I must say you are really lucky then!! I agree where can Patrick sign up. He gets a romantic kick in him about once a month! But I still love him!
