Early Riser or Sleepy Head?

Pearl is an early bird. She sleeps on her bed at the end of my bed and I can hear her get up several times to come look at me to see if I'm stirring yet. If she doesn't see me moving around she will go lay back down and try again later. You should hear her big *sighs* of disappointment if I'm not up early enough. Since she's deaf I have an advantage and the alarm doesn't cue her to my wake up time. I'm usually up at least by 6 for work anyway.

My Blizzy would sleep, or at least not stir, until she heard me get up, then she'd start her day. Or she'd not bother to get up and wait it out until she could no longer sleep comfortably with the overly extended bladder!

Echo and Carson..ohh how I wish they'd sleep. They are up waking the birds! God forbid i have to pee at 4am..they think, hey! Mom's up, time to go!! When they start up early, I shusshhhhh! them and they will settle down..for about 15 minutes, then I have to get up or Echo will throw herself into the crate over and over until she's smack against my bed looking me directly in the eye..and then she inhales really deeply and exhales so hard my hair blows around..THATS enough to get me up :eek:

both of our boxers are early risers, lucy is usually up around 6am and quinn shortly follows, but both are back in bead by 8am, dont boxers have the life

Dh always gets up to make the coffee and lets me sleep in. He takes the other two furbabies out first, then Hank might be up by 9. I usually get up and he just sleeps in. So we never make the bed up until he is up and at 'em!

Charlie Paper is kinda in between. He sleeps in with me when I want to, but when I need to get up, and my alarm goes off, he only lets me hit snooze twice before insisting it really is time to get up. However, with my boyfriend (who isn't the easiest person to wake) he'll sleep til 2 in the afternoon without asking to get up!! He NEVER does that with me. The longest he's let me sleep has been 12:30 in the afternoon. But last weekend he let my bf sleep til 2:30pm! I guess it just depends.

Dempsey is truly a heavy sleeper at heart, but he always wants to be where the action is. In the morning, he wakes with me as I get up and make the coffee--I let him out and make his breakfast that he gives a quick sniff (and maybe a nibble) and then he goes right back upstairs and gets under the covers with my boyfriend until he wakes for work. If he didn't get out of bed until noon, I am sure Dempsey would stay there. On the weekends he will stay in bed as long as we are there, only occasionally going to the door to be let out for a potty, but then getting back into bed until we are ready to move. It is nice!

As soon as we are up though, he becomes our shadow!

Terra is definitely an early riser, just like her daddy. As soon as her daddy wakes up (sometimes at 5 am!) she'll be up running around, hungry and ready to play!

Mine stay in bed as long as I do. Saying that, I guess they are sleepy heads :o

Winston is such a sleepy head in the morning! My dh is the bed maker in the am and he sometimes has to kick Winston out of bed :eek: If I go into the bedroom after my shower and turn on the light, he will look at me like, "Do you mind, I'm trying to rest here!" It's hysterical!!! On the weekends, he will go out to do his business and then climb back in bed for some extra shut eye

So who has the sleepy head in the am and who has the early riser?

Sounds like my girl Lucy - I find myself not making my bed - until the princess wakes up!!

My pup is an early riser...3 am and she thinks its time to play! Shes been home a week today...and finally she slept until 5am. I never thought waking up at 5 am wouuld be considered sleeping in!
