early greying???

Brooke started greying a year ago (ie all her puppy white places turned back to white.) she wont be 5 till october. Is this a sign that she is aging faster?

I don't know the answer to that but my Sable is 6 and she already has a silver face and some silver starting to go down her back. Of course her first years of life weren't good. She is a rescue from a puppy mill. She is just precious and her silver face is adorable.

Just as with humans, it all really boils down to genetics.
I've seen 2 year old Boxers with gray hair and 10 year olds without.
My girl got her first one just recently. She turned 6 in March. Since the first one showed up I am starting to notice more.
I doubt it is a sign that she is aging "faster". Just following in her parents footsteps!
My girl has had multiple health issues her whole life and still battles with cancer, heart issues and thyroid to this day. If any Boxer had a reason to gray prematurely it would have been her.
I'm sure she has given me a few!

well brooke hasnt had any health issues (minus the toxic mold poisoning but this started before that) thank god, but she did stress really badly when we moved. she lost about 10 pounds :(

She looks so funny, her eyelashes are even white now...

Lily is only 2 1/2 and she already has grey on her muzzle. She looks like she dipped her mouth in white powder. It's just the longer wiskers though.

Joey is also 2 1/2 and he has grey in his muzzle. It started in the left side and now the right side is getting grey!

Cody is 2 1/2 and I swear he is getting a whiter muzzle. I used to just look at it and think how beautiful it was just solid shiny black. But now there is white where it used to be black. I try to ignore it. I don't want to think about him going grey. He is the sweetest fuzz I have ever known (I am a little biased).

I'm glad to hear that other young boxers have some grey- Baxter is 3 1/2 and his muzzle has been getting some grey too- my boyfriend teases his that soon his whole face will be grey, and I'm like, "No, he's still my baby! He's not old!"- I don't want to think about that either!

My Sandy baby's once jet black muzzle is now solid silver...
she is also getting gray on her ears and back...It just broke my heart when it first started happening...

I questioned my vet and he said the same thing Susie said, they are like people, just because they get a little gray around the edges doesn't mean they are old... Sandy is 8 and still runs circles around Napoleon and he is 3 years younger...

Gray just shows character!!!
