Drooling?

If anyone has a drooler when did it start? I went to a dog park for the first time over the weekend when i went home to jersey. There were about 3 boxers at the park and they all had nasty slobbers! 2 of them were girls too. I am curious to know when this starts to happen. I have (2) 6 month olds and none of them drool. Am i in the clear or can it still happen?

Both of mine get the frothy slimy drool only when they run around, and especially at the dog park. It has always happened so I don't know when the normal age for drooling to begin - if there is one. Just bring a slober rag - at least that's what we do. At first it's gross, then you learn to love it.

Beau has always been a Slob king since a very young age like say 12 weeks or so, but it is consideranly worse when he is excited or playing. When he gives the pathetic hunger stare its like a faucet has been set to a steady drip.
On the other hand my female Stella, only slobbers rarely, and its usually when she reallllllly is interested in whatever food is present at the time. She does slobber a little when playing, but nothing compared to Beau.

I have a female and male and the only time they drool is when I have microwaved popcorn or at the dog park. They will sit in front of me hoping for some popcorn and after about 10 min. my female will have a bubble on the side of her mouth and my male will have some slime hanging from his. They also get the Frothy Rabies look when they run around playing at the dog park. I am always asking them "Who did you slime this time?" Other than that they don't drool. They are 2 1/2 and 3yrs old.

Coco doesn't drool too much. Usually only when there is food around that she really really wants and then it's not too bad, just a drip here & there. She does get frothy when she runs hard & plays, etc. She is 11 mos, I only started noticing it about 2 mos ago.

Buster has always drooled too - esp. while playing at the park. I always have a drool rag with me.

Nothing wrong with a little drool. I always used to tell people it is a show of love It is especially fun to watch them when they blow bubbles out the sides of their mouths. Tomi used to do that when him and I would share an apple or salad. Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles.

Honestly though, the first time I saw froth from his mouth, I thought perhaps he had rabies
I ran home to call the vet only to find out it is normal and part of the boxer

Konah doesn't drool persay, at least not the stringy kind. He slobbers on his toys, our pant legs or our new leather couches *L* But it's more watery than slimy. I think it gets caught in his abundant jowls. But watch out after he takes a drink...it's Niagra Falls all the way across the hardwood! *L* I just love him.

We specifically checked with Hogan's parents to see if they were droolers and they weren't. He is 16 mos. old and doesn't really drool (maybe if there is human food that he thinks he's going to get). He certainly slimes us every now and then though. Hilda, our rescue, is what I call a "wet dog". She spits on you when she turns her head, barks or woos at you. She slobbers all over the place after drinking and she dribbles when she licks her chops.

It's funny, we took the time to make sure our puppy wouldn't be a drooler and we got a drooler 8 mos. later when we got our puppy a rescue!

shoe strings!!

Libby drools so bad sometimes it looks like she ate a tennis shoe and forgot to finish the shoe strings. It is so gross. Slimy and really thick. I dont know if it is because she is excited or what!! Its funny to see. One day I will have to get a picture of this!
