I think when Boxerallie has a chance to describe the event in more detail it will be clearer what her girl is reacting to but nine times out of ten fear is a huge factor, and fear can present very differently dog to dog depending on that dog's experience. I am still curious to know if her girl actually bit-she does not say. And I agree only a trained behavorist will be able to get to the bottom of it

So true.
I heard 'attacked, and went straight for the other dog's leg, they had to be pulled apart'.. so assumed a bite. I shouldn't have assumed for sure!! I'm sorry.. If it were a bite, that would have been different than a lunge/snap display. Again, I'm sorry for not reading thoroughly. :(

Boxerallie,
I'm also extremely glad that your dog is being helped AND improving. Big relief.

I'm glad you are so committed to your new girl. It sounds like the training is helping her a lot. :)
