Dog Coats that fit

I have a couple of fleece coats for both my dogs which are fine for certain temperatures but I just don’t think they cut it in the really cold weather, they don’t keep out the wind and because I find boxers hard to fit (deep chests) their coats are never a perfect fit and not snug enough in my opinion because I usually end up having to buy a bigger size to accommodate the deeper chest. So I have been looking on line for some better products and before I spend any $$ I wanted to see if anyone else on BW had either of these products and what they think. Here are the 2 links

http://www.dogcoats.com/products.htm - these are custom made – so I like that idea

http://www.ruffwear.com/products/overcoatII/ - these look very snug and warm

Any feedback would be appreciated J

I don't have the exact similar, but Kailee's is very close to the first link you posted. I actually located an Equine Supplier and had one similar made for her. They measured her and it was back to me within a week. It is snuggy warm, I can tell when we get home and I take it off. Her body is toasty warm. It is nice because not only does the outter shell block the wind, it also repels any water etc. and the fleecy lining keeps her snug as a bug! If you can locate an Equine shop in your area, it is worth asking as Kailee's was only around the 36.00 Canadian Dollars. Good luck

I really like the Ruff Wear one.

I think I'll order one. If you want to wait I'll let you know how it is when I get it!

Personally, I got my fleece from www.fidofleece.com. The fit is absolutely perfect. You just need to mention/indicate that it's for a Boxer along with providing the requested measurements. Fits him snug as a bug. I'll post a couple of pics I have of him in it.

We ordered Nikki a Fido Fleece. Should be here in a few days. My hubby just loves how easily they go on & off. The velcro is on the top instead of the tummy. I'll take a pic of Nikki as soon as we get it, and I'll let you know how it fits her! :)

I like the option to make your own. I"ll have to check out the pattern, or I don't think it would be too hard to make your own pattern.
