Doesn't time go slowly when you are waiting for the pup to arrive :)

Just wanted to share the feeling with all the others who are waiting for their pup to be old enough to come home. We have another four weeks yet and it seems to be going very slowly. Probably doesn't help that I have already bought his bed, toys, bowls etc which are laying around the house reminding me :)

Time really does go slowly. I picked Markus out at 4 weeks and it was the longest 4 weeks before he came home. It was worth the wait. :)

too slowly

We've been waiting on Trinity since the day she was born. We only have three weeks left now, but that seems like an eternity. We can't wait to bring our new baby girl home.

Hi--I agree. We just picked out our boy yesterday---I get almost no work done during the day because I just keep looking at the pictures we took!! I thought it was a long wait for the months before he was born, but now the waiting's really tough because I know how sweet he is and I've held him!!! I've only bought a crate, but I'm slowly going to start getting other things to distract me. Right now my favorite obsession is kibble types. I'm becoming quite the aficienado (sp?). Scary when "whitefish and sweet potato" or something like that begins to sound like a meal I could cook! Good thread....

haven't even gotten one

I had one picked out, but found out some information that I didn't like...so I'm still waiting on the right baby. In the meantime, I am driving my husband absolutely NUTS!

Hehehe . . . I know what you mean! One week from tomorrow for us and Odin! And we've had him bought and paid for from 2 weeks old! Feels like an eternity. . . Kinda nice though, because you have time for "nesting" and all that. You can get a nice cache of toys built up and put child/puppy safety latches on the cabinets and research the best products first. I always feel ten times more in control with some knowledge under my belt.

I totally agree. It seems like time stands still while you wait. The waiting cost us a fortune. When we first knew we were getting Joe, my daughters and I went out and spent $300 on all sorts of goodies for him in one trip. Then we just could not stay out of any pet store until we got him. I think we spent more money on toys than what it actually cost to get Joe!! Good luck with the wait!

Absolutely...

When I was waiting for Lucian to come home I never got anything done because all I did was hang out here and read about all the funny stuff the boxers were doing and look at all pictures in everyones gallery which would make more excited to get my boy hom which would make the wait seem even LONGER. I have had him for 5 days now and the wait has paid off in full! He is wonderful. You guys can do it and before you know it, it will be the pickup day!!

Time ticks by so slow!

We just lost our first boxer, TeKO, on april 20th, four days before his first birthday. Our home is absolutely devistated. After calling our breeder, we found they had another litter just a week prior to and we picked out our new baby, Clyde, at 10 days old! I miss having a dog around so much, the waiting seems endless. Only five more weeks til we bring him home....I can't wait!!!!

Time has stopped moving!

We have another 4 weeks too! But really, we have been waiting over a year for the right pup. Sheesh! I'm glad we are patient people......
