water

Harley loves water. Since he was a baby he loved his bath. I don't even have to ask him to get in the tub, he just gets in when he hears the water running. Call me weird but he sometimes takes a shower, he just walks in when you are in there. We introduced him to the beach a few weeks ago. It was so funny. He was jumping through the water and trying to jump on us. He had the best time. Last weekend we bought him a pool and filled it with water and dropped golf balls at the bottom. He dunked his head (slowly at first) and bubbles were coming out of his nose. He would get the balls and then drop them back in the water and do it all over again. Now he sits at the back door and whines to go and do it again. He is a water nut!

I voted Yes, even though I am not really sure.

We have taken Ginger to the lake at the park and the college and she walks right in. we don't let her get in overher head though since humans aren't allowed in the water. I can't wait to take her some place where she is allowed in the water. I think she will like it a lot.

Todd (my husband) tried to take Angel swimming when she was a pup but she didn't like it very much and would only go in if the whole family was out and left her on shore. I guess for her being alone was worse than being wet.

The big dog Buddy doesn't like baths. We bought a kiddie swim pool for the dogs one year so they would have a place to cool down at but we could NOT convince him to go in. So what we did was go to the feed store and buy feeder goldfish (12 for a dollar)
My dog loves to chase and when he saw those little fish darting around in the water he dove right in to get them!! It was a lot of fun for him. I think Buddy would enjoy swimming if he had the chance.

Where can you take your dog to swim?!?

Bruno loves to swim and loves water in general . When we go for walks it is usualy downtown which is right on the ocean or around the resivior and the first thing he wants to do it jump in . We let him swim for a while (not very gracefully) and then walk him so eventualy he will dry off before going in the truck . I think he has a water fettish because we will catch him in the tub trying to get water out of the spout and when the kids take baths he will try so hard to get in there with them :p .

Well its hard for me to say because Beau loves any sprinkler or puddle of water but refuses to get into the pool. He bares down and growls at me if I even try to get him in the pool. I have never taken him to a beach or lake or anything but I know for sure he won't even put his paws on the first step.

Unfortunately, I had to vote No. We were hoping Murray would like to swim but he doesn't. He only likes to drink it -- especially if it's coming out of the garden hose like Dreamcatcher said! Oh yeah, and he does like to walk in the bathroom when you're taking a shower and lick the water off the shower curtain!

Well, folks. It seems I have to change my vote to yes. I took the girls camping, where they got to play in a pond. Trace was splashing all around with her Uncle Ring, and Mel-Mel just kept jumping in and swimming back to shore. I hope the pics turn out okfrogicon

Montana loves to go waist deep, after that it becomes a head under the water and butt up in the air. So waist deep is as far as he goes. He also has a kiddy pool he loves to frolic in and he loves to dip is whole face under water when he drinks.

Good luck with Lara and be carefull of crabs and stuff that can grab at her side lips. they do NOT like that and it might frighten her and not want to go back in the water.

Tigger loves the water. We go to the park and she knows every place along the trail where she can get to the waters edge. In she goes and has a great time.

I wasn't sure how to vote. I have been taking Dexter to the beach to train. At first he would only get his feet wet. Then he would jump in to fetch a stick. I don't swim so he couldn't go out very far. My hubby's friend bought a jet ski and my kids and hubby went out jet skiing. There was a pinic table in the water where the friend and his wife were sitting and Dexter jumped up to see them. When my hubby came in on the jet ski Dexter jumped into the deep water to see him. He can swim we found out but I'm not sure how much he liked it.
