I know what you mean, I never get to sleep in anymore...sometimes they're up way too early...but it's worth it :D

Magoo's Mama

Magoo comes to bed with me at night...he snuggles up to my legs and will put his upper body on them so I can't roll over.

After a while, though, he will go out into the livingroom and sleep on the couch so he can listen for nighttime noises and MICE!

In the morning, he'll wake me up by "moofling" in my face so I can be on time for work.

Yes, Monica. It works a little, but in reality, it just gives Lusi that much more blanket to wiggle underneath her... she stills hogs all of the bed in between us!

Bandit also thinks he owns our bed. When we moved this last October, we bought a king size bed due to his mentality, as well as the fact that we wanted to add a female to our family. Somehow the King size bed is no larger than the double used to be!!!! And it is still just Bandit. I do have to say though, I don't feel right if he isn't in bed with us. Sometimes he will sleep in the hall to keep tabs on everyone, but he normally ends up in the bed.

ALWAYS

I don't feel right in my bed unless KOBi is on my bed with me!! I started this habit when he I first got him so that I would know when he needed to go to the bathroom and I guess we both got used to it. If I stay up too late he will go sleep with my daughter until I go to bed, but as soon as he hears me lay down, he comes to join me. He's just my special puppy and I love him!!!!!!

At 54 years old, I live (and sleep) alone, so it seemed natural to let "Butch" sleep with me. Keep in mind, their normal body temp is about 102 degrees, so it's NO fun in the summer time! I do have a ceiling fan over my bed, so that helps. Now I also have "Maggie", (Butch's 45 lb. girlfriend) and now it's getting quite crowded in my double "full size" bed!

BUT - I don't EVER worry about "home security" because of my loyal, protective bunk-mates and the .38 Special I keep under my mattress! (Hey - Who needs an alarm system?)

Lately, I find myself waking up in all sorts of contorted positions because each one of them prefer to be on either the upper half or lower half, so I stay "stiff and sore" most of the day because I sleep in the letter "S" (or "Z") position! Trying to move them is a chore like someone said previously! 75 lbs. or even 45 lbs. of "dead weight" is almost impossible to move from a prone position - and I weigh 190lbs !

Oddly enough, I feel truely flattered because; 1) Their love and devotion are quite obvious, 2) they accept me into their "pack" and 3) they are 100% relaxed and trusting of me. (Sort of makes me feel "closer to nature", somehow!)

Thank God that boxers are very clean dogs and don't have that typical "doggy" smell! Can't really complain about the "gas" because I usually "give as good as I get" - (especially when I've had a few beers!) Ha, ha ha!!!

I loved this last response...I'd love to see pics of Butch and his girl...they sound great. If you have any pics, send to belleboxr@earthlink.net. I love to hear from others who are just as crazy about their boxers as I am with mine.

Tyra sleeps in bed with us and I like it that way. The only challenge is getting into bed before she lays on it. Once she does so, there is NO WAY we could pull the blankets over us. Those blankets just don't move once she's on them. I sleep with long sleeve sweatshirts so that my arms won't get cold at night. We also have to race to bed before she can lay on our pillows and leave her eye boogies on them. evilicon

Raynas mom

Completely Boxer Crazy
We have a king bed...and just before we got Rayna I was telling my husband how we really don't need such a big bed...that It took up allot of room, and that we never touch half of it. WELL THANK GOODNESS WE DIDN'T GET RID OF IT!!! There isnt enough room on it now......for some reason Rayna can NOT sleep horizontally she has to sleep diagonalsmashicon I sleep on my side with her stinky feet in my back, or she is resting her head on one of my body parts....she must be touching me at all times!

Ohhh and at the end of this month she is getting A BROTHER!!! Im thinking we are going to have to get a DOUBLE KING OR SOMETHING!
