Coco cracks me up....when she wants to play she will let you know on no uncertain terms what she wants to do. Yesterday I was sitting in the living waiting to leave for work and she grabbed her hamburger (rope with hamburger & bun slices with all the fixings on the rope) and brought it over and hit me in the leg with it until I picked it up and played tug o war and fetch. Today hubby is at the computer and for no reason she just walked by him and butts him with her nose and then growls and woo woo's. She wants to play fight. Do your boxers initiate play time with you like that? I'd love to hear some stories if you have them.

Most definitely. Toni just learned the fetch game. Before when I threw a toy she'd go get it but would never bring it back. Within the last couple of weeks she has learned to bring it back. Now if I am watching tv and she wants to play, she goes and gets her toy of choice and brings it over and drops it in my lap. If I ignore her (pretend) she gives me a woowoo. If I continue to ignore her she'll lay down and start to whine. It cracks me up and I have to play. She'll also bump me if I am busy and she thinks she needs attention. They know what they want and when they want it. They usually get it too!

Sirus'Mommy

Sirus is such an antagonist! He picks fights with anyone and anything...at anytime...! Sirus gets people and or other dogs to play with him by using his wonderful eye-contact skills! He gives the dirtiest looks on earth...like he's waiting for a show-down...(think Clint Eastwood)
...and speaking of wacking legs with ropes...I have a huge bruise right under my knee from Sirus walking up and hitting me with the darn thing! He sure can be a little punk sometimes!

Talking about toys, Simba loves to throw his rope up in the air and fling it around when you ignore him. It's not so funny when the rope comes flying at you and hit's you in the head or face. I got a black eye once from him doing that and everyone at work thought someone beat me up. They didn't want to believe it was Simba that did it. He's even given me bruises from just his paws striking me when he's playing. I just tell people at work I don't have an abusive boyfriend just a playful and strong boxer. :)

Boxer Pal
with other dogs...

I think Bella likes to take it to another level... We have a three year old Shepherd/Akita-esque/Husky mix (not sure, we found him in a hot car and theifed him), and two three-month old German Shepherds. He will go up to the two Sheps (very playful brothers) and pick fights with them. Funny thing is, they fight back, and he wins. He's only eight weeks and really tiny, but he can still kick their butts! Maybe because they know to play gentle with such a wee little man. ;) But don't be mistaken... if there is a dog fight, chances are the boxer initiated it ;)

Rocky vs Mia

Rocky loves to sneak up on Mia the boston from behind and stick his nose in her rear (he literally lifts her hiney off the ground with his snout!). She HATES this and will chase him around growling like a tazmanian devil! He really looks like he is laughing as he runs from her!
