Koolba loves everyone (almost)

Koolba usually loves every dog she meets...with the exception of the two yippy mop dogs next door. ALL the dogs on the fence line hate these dogs. I can't figure it out. There are two German Shepherds, Koolba and our chow/golden mix... and they don't hate the Golden Retriever, and they love each other...they HATE these two little dogs!

One day, Koolba was being incredible aggressive to this other dog (both on leashes) and I was so surprised. She continued to growl and bark and bristle until I pet this other dog, and then she immediately got happy and started kidney beaning, etc. She was just waiting for my permission to "like" the dog!

Ali used to like all other dogs but over the last couple of months she's become a bit grumpy with little dogs - she must be a bit of a bully too, cause she wouldn't say boo to a goose to a big dog!

all the world is a chew toy for Maggie. She thinks everything on this planet was created for her personal enjoyment and to play with. Susie, however, is a bit more discerning. She is not as socially skilled as Maggie and tends to stare at larger dogs, usually causing some growling or snarling on the part of the "threatened" dog. She isn't wanting to fight, but rather play. But she was obviously not socialized as a puppy and is a bit more "in your face" than Maggie. She seems to prefer smaller dogs to play with and avoids dogs larger than her. Maggie is the opposite, preferring larger dogs to smaller dogs -- except feisty pugs and Bostons. They seem to be the preferred wrestling partners for my girls. :)

liking other dogs

Sam thinks everyone is his friend, but Murphy being extreamly alpha will only play with smaller dogs and is as gentle as a lamb with them, but when he gets around any dogs his own size the hackels goes and low low growl starts, what a beast

Our boxer, Lady, was scared of ANY dog regardless of size until she was about 2 years old. One day one of those little yappers chased her during one of my runs. She started to run away as usual, but suddenly she stopped, stuck out a paw and flipped the yapper on its back in the blink of an eye. I had to grab her quickly or I think that yapper would have never yapped again! From that day on, she never feared any dog and would bark and chase them if given the opportunity...and some of those dogs were visicious brutes too!!

We have yet to find a dog, human, animal, or rock, for that matter, that Nedra does not like. She's my lover girl! :D

Even if another dog doesn't care for her, she just kind of steps back and looks like, "What the heck is YOUR problem?!" Then she walks away!

Chivas only likes dogs smaller than him. I think he has "self esteem" issues and trys to bow up on all dogs bigger than him.:D
Tia is only 6 months and trys to play with every dog, cat, frog, lizard, bug, kid, person she sees. She is always so disappointed if they won't play.:(

Princess loves every dog...and hasn't ever seen a person that she didn't walk right up to and give a little hand kiss if they offer it. :)

One exception though....We had a big black oaf of a foster dog (all-american mix) that Princess "tolerated". She wasn't a huge fan of poor Fonzie, but they were generally civil to one another. She loved all the fosters before and after, and Fonzie has gone on to a multi-dog home. Personality issues I guess. :)
