All Roscoe has to hear are the keys. It doesn't matter where I am going, he thinks he needs to go with me. Everytime I let him into the car, he sits in the drivers seat, and then we usually have to have a discussion about how I am supposed to do the driving and not him. :)

Fawn's Mom

Morgan loves car rides!

All we have to say is "Want to go bye bye?" or "Want to go for a ride?"
She immediately starts kidney beaning and runs for the door. She then sits and waits patiently at the car door.
She sits in the front if there is 1 of us, otherwise, she sits in the back seat.
She always looks out the window for like 30 seconds and then lays down for a nap.
She seems to fall asleep when we go for rides immediately.
The only time she gets out of her seat is if we get out of the car (to get gas or run into a store).
Then, she sits in the drivers' seat waiting for us to come back.
So cute!

Tango's Mama

If i put my shoes on Tango goes and gets his lead and brings it to me. That pleading expression never fails to make me let him go! He rides in the back of the blazer(seats lay down) and he has his bed back there(not that he sleeps much lol) if the front seat is free he prefers to be there sitting by me. Cutest thing in the world is when he looks over at me and holds out his paw, Mom then has to take Tango's paw and hold hands for awhile. He leans over against my shoulder while we hold hands both with that silly goofy look people get when they are in love. My DH just dont understand this behavior at all!! :o

Definately!

I just say "let's go!" and he's all over the house. Jumping, kidney beaning and talking the whole time. Then he sits by the garage door and waits for his leash.

He also knows when it's time for the boys' baseball games. As soon as he sees the boys in their uniform, he also starts the jumping and kidney beaning. He LOVES going to the fields.

I also have a question, does your boxer know when the kids should be home from school? Once in a while my boys will go to friends homes to play, so I don't have to pick anyone up from school. Rocky will go from the door to me and back looking for them. Cracks me up.

We have to be careful about when we ask Brutus if he "wants to go". If we don't wait until we are completely ready to walk out the door, he goes back and forth from us to the door sighing and huffing all the way. And we don't dare mention going to Nanna's until we are at least half way there. He goes nuts when he knows that's where we're going. DH and I have laughed saying that he probably thinks we're either going to Nanna's or Petsmart every day when we leave for work because those are the places he gets to visit most often.

Every friday after my last class of the day I take Brinks to the park. I SWEAR he knows when it's Friday. Everyday of the week I come home at the same time and its the same routine, but on Fridays he just sits by the door looking at me like "okay I am ready now." Sometimes I think they are too smart for their own good!

"Wanna go for a ride?" gets my boys riled up like nothing else in the world. Beau will go to the door and jump about 5 feet in the air again and again until I let him out. They both run to the car and wait by the door. I can't figure out why "Wanna go poop outside?" doesn't get the same reaction!

Lol Lily thinks that every time i open the car door she has to get in. She looks so crushed if i have to get her out again
As for where she sits, her bum is parked on the back seat with her feet on the floor and her head poking in between the front seats. I think she likes it there for when i go around corners the seats stop her being flung around everywhere lol. If we go get more chicken she sits in the front with her harness on cause it takes up all the back seats

We've only had Odin for a couple of months and if I tell my human kids to "get their jackets" or "it's time to go" Odin runs for the door.

I still crate him when he can't go along. He'd much rather go with us of course (and usually does) but it seems like he senses when he won't be going. He runs to the family room instead of the door and when I reach for his collar he collapses on the floor like I'm about to torture him, lol. Sometimes even with a treat in my hand I have to push and pull him to the crate. It's funny because he sleeps in his crate at night and always goes in without a problem but not if he thinks we're going somewhere fun without him!

Charlie knows....

Charlie knows that every Sunday I work at the local gun range. He starts getting "antsy" about 15 minutes before I leave. Whimpering, kidney beaning, circles and jumps. (He is the "official" greeter at the range....) He also recognizes scenery...about 6 blocks away from the range or from home, he reacts.

Charlie is also a pathological liar. He tells EVERYONE that I don't ever pet him....
