oh yes!
My hubby said it in jest and meant no harm but it is/was so true. Blizzy was (and will always be) the light in my life. When I would let her out to do her business, I always gave her a kiss and told her I loved her. My hubby would say she's JUST going pee..she'll be back in 13 second. I always said, you never know, something bad could happen. When I left the house for whatever reason, Blizzy was the first (and sometimes only one) to get a kiss, hug and a I love you..hubby would stand there with lips pursed for his..play pouting..heehee. When I "tucked" her in at night with her pillow & blanket he'd say WHAT other dog gets such treatment (guess he's never visited BW..hehe). And on the sad day we had to send her to the Bridge, as I sat staring out the window, waiting to head to the vets, with tears and boogs running down my face, sobbing, he said (only to lighten up the situation..not meanly) "I bet you won't be this devistated when I go" I looked him dead in the eye, with a smirk and a little laugh and said "don't you know it". Yes, I was totally devoted to my girl. Hubby was never jealous but it was the butt of most of the jokes about how crazy I am..
