Does anyone else's boxer do this???

1. Absolutely refuses to sleep on the floor unless there is a comfy dog bed there, if not whines till shes let up on the bed??
2. Destroys every single toy they've ever gotten
3. When scared of someone, hides just their head behind your leg or under a blanket?
4. and just basically different from any other dog breed they've owned.

1. They are spoiled rotten - My dog Cooper prefers the comfort of the couch, chair, or bed versus the floor.
2. Cooper LOVES to chew... just bought him a Kong toy... think this might take a lot to destroy but we will have to see.
3. Cooper is a bit shy around strangers, but the more I take him around them, the better he gets.
4. The best description of a Boxer that I have ever heard is "Jello wrapped in rubber bands" - I have never owned a breed of dog that is more fun and more active than the Boxer.

I am sooo happy that I chose the Boxer. He makes me very happy even if he is hyper!

floor? what is a floor? i purchase spanky two beds but they both went to the local shelter since all they did was collect dust. he will only sleep on the beds or the couch.

The only time my dog will sleep on the floor is if it is a very hot day and the kitchen tiles are cold otherwise he hates lying on the floor

#1- Joey will sleep on the floor when the heat/air conditioning is on - he lays right on top of the vent, but once it once it goes off he is right back up in on the chairs, couch and bed!
#2- the kong is THE only toy he hasnt destroyed, but he doesnt chew on anything other than toys. I got lucky with him, my other dog (not a boxer) chews on everything
#3 he is not shy around ANYONE - thats just that many more kisses he can (try) to give and another person to play with.
#4 He is THE BEST dog I have EVER been owned by!

I couldn't help but laugh when I read this. My Major is nearly identical! They are so so precious. But I have a little funny for you! We got Major at 7 weeks old, and he's now 3 months... When we first brought him home, he began sleeping in the bed with us. We bought him a puppy bed, but he would only sleep in there unless we were up moving around. Last night, I decided I was going to move Major over, and I, for once, was going to sleep by the husband! Major would not lie down for a comfortable 2 minutes without whining until he was up moving around again. Eventually he inched his way up between us and layed right on down and went to sleep! It's so funny to me how they always find a way to get their way!

#1- Sometimes Darlin PRETENDS like she's going to sleep on the floor, then 5 minutes after I'm asleep she jumps on top of me. . . HOW DOES SHE KNOW WHEN I FALL ASLEEP?!?!?
#2- Both of them LOOOOOOOVE squeaky toys, yet seem determined to tear the squeaker out of each and every one of them. And then of course they're no longer interested in the non-squeaking toy
#3 Darlin doesn't like balloons - the way they move in the wind. If we walk by some, she's RIGHT next to me. If those darn things move, she's either in between my legs or behind them
#4 Darlin was my first and I fell in love. Now Jager's part of the family. . . . . Who wants to bet we have 3 by the end of 2010?!?!?!
