Sammi has been doing this for a long time, and I never thought to ask on the forum, but my DH asked me to post the question. Every once in a while, Sammi will let out a vicious kick with one of back legs. It's like a donkey kick. Any other "kickers" out there?

Dakota used to do that whenever she went #2, almost like "look at me I'm soo good". And she would give each leg a couple good kicks. I think she picked that up from my male minpin, he always does it even when he just goes #1 :)

Yup! I get kicked in the face nightly! Rocco will lay on the bed and kick when he's about to go to sleep. Kinda cute, but hurts!

Mella, quite suddenly, decided to kick out her back legs when she is barking. It looks as if she is a bull about to charge the red cape. Other than that, my girls kick in their sleep.

Ronin has always done it - usually when he's gone #2, but also when he see's something in our neighbor's yard that he can't get to. He uses both feet to kick too. Thankfully, this behavior is only done outside...he really throws up the grass!

Tof has kicked me before when she's been sleeping--apparently I had ventured out of the 4" strip she gives me, and I was in her way. She kicked me pretty hard! She doesn't kick often though.

Abby also kicks when she thinks she needs even more space in the bed. Silly girl! I've also wondered why (it seems to be males) kick the grass?

orion's dad

I've noticed also that Orion is the only one that tries to kickstart the grass. Canela has never done that...Is it a macho thing? LOL

LOL...once again, I thought my baby was doing something odd and it turns out, she's just being a boxer!!! They certainly are like no other breed I've ever had in my life. They're just the best! :) (and so cute!!!)

 That's Willis too! If he wakes up and I am in an unacceptable location, he puts his paws on whatever he can find (usually my face) and pushes with all of his boxer might. Usually I end up in the top corner of the bed sleeping sideways with no covers while he is spread out everywhere else.
