I dont know if this is where I should put this but here goes. My boy likes to get into trouble.evilicon So when he is dong something he shouldnt the tone of my voice and body language nonoicon let him know he is wrong. Anyways when i came home from work today I was not greeted with the normal woo woos and wiggles. Instead his head and tail are down and I dont understand why. So I continue with what I normally do and he follows me as usual but still head and tail down. So I start to pet him and ask him whats wrong and his tail starts to wiggle but nothing near normal. Then I go to take him outside and I see why he is behaving like this my slippers are destroyed. smashicon Of course I dont say anything about the slippers I know its to late for that. Without me doing anything to let him know he was wrong he just knew he had done something wrong. Does anyone elses baby do this and if they know they are going to get into trouble why do they do it. lol

Sneaky Pete

Not only does Buddy know when he did something wrong, he's outright sneaky. I'll watch him as he casually saunters into the bathroom, he will turn around and see if I'm looking, if I'm not (so he thinks) he proceeds to push up the toilet seat for a drink of water. If he sees I am looking he immediatly turns his body around and just stands there as if to say whaaaaaat, I'm not doing nothing wrong. If he's been scolded for chewing something he will get a toy and move it over to the item he was chewing and will make it look like he's chewing his toy when all the time he's chewing the item he got scolded for, as soon as he sees me looking at him he stops and puts his head on his toy  You can't help but laugh, he's our personal in house comic,

Avra never knows that she is wrong and because she is a very well behaved dog,i believe that if she would do something wrong it would be my fault.
It's funny, when i forget to close the garbage can,if something "smells good"and she is not able to pick up the thing from the garbage can,she would come in front of me and cry waiting that i will give her this disgusting thing LOL

I reckon they do to some extent as when Lola or Zeb pinch our belongings and run out in the garden with them all I have to do is follow them without saying a word and stand there, they then drop them and look all sheepish

To me the funniest thing is to come home to Stella on a day she has destroyed something of mine. It is hard to keep a straight face. Last time, she destroyed a little wooden figurine the thing was shred to tiny pieces, spread all over the living room carpet. She knew as soon as I opened the door that she was in trouble, her tail was down, her head was down, she could not make herself smaller. When I raised my voice and told her that she did something bad she tried to play the "look at me, I'm so cute, you can't resist me" card and threw herself on her back, all four legs up, puppy-eyes, kidney beaning because she knows it makes me laugh. Very smart girl, like I said, it was hard to keep a straight face! If she could talk, I am sure she would try to blame it on Porter, my older, wiser boxer!

Oh yeah. ABBY knows when she's been doing something wrong. She'll pull that Little Miss Innocent act until I notice what it is she has done. If I get onto about it, she either starts arguing with me or she will go into the bedroom and mope. My God, they are just like kids, aren't they?

Oh yes! The second you walk in that door and she's done something wrong her ears go pinned back and she cowers down a bit and once your done scolding her she comes with her wiggle butt and its all over. Chopper hides behind the dining room table and looks over it every few seconds to see if your looking at him. Chopper also does this thing that i find so hilarious. WHen were getting ready for bed he jumps up on the bed and will either lay in DH's spot or mine and when you tell him to move he looks at you from the corner of his like "maybe if i dont look at her she wont see me" Its just the cutest thing ever. Mind you mine are only out of there crates for maybe an hour, otherwise they are crated while we are gone. So thats about the only time they get into trouble.

Absolutely! Cooper and Bauer both do this. They know when they are misbehaving...

Sunday morning I get up, and they are both being very skiddish. I was thinking what's the matter. I go to the kitchen sink and look out the window *mouth dropped* there was (what looked like) five pounds of stuffing from 'something'. So, I walk out and this was one of the few times the boys didn't trot out after me... I find the following:
the baby's stuffed caterpillar (or at least what was left of it)
my daughters flip flop
my sneakers
my husband sneaker (just the one)
and my daughter keychain which has about 20 keychains on it (no keys)
I proceeded to pick it all up and come back in... like you, it was too late to correct them. But I brought it all back in and sit it on the floor. You would have thought it was the pit of doom, they did everything to avoid going near their recent victims!

That is when Spike some how gets his lip stuck on the lower teeth and cocks his head sideways as to say "did I do that". All I can do is laugh at him. He is a pretty good boy, but we keep him crated during the day and he is enclosed in the bedroom with us (closet & bathroom doors are shut). He gets the old dryer sheets out of the bathroom trash every now and then.
