Completely Boxer Crazy
I don't really wrestle with Harley too much, every now and then I do. But she goes nutso with my sons. They love getting under the blanket so she can attack them. It is so funny, because my kids will be laughing hyterically, and Harley sounds like she is mauling them to death. It's really funny because if the blanket comes off the kids, she stops and looks around like, mommy fix it, and doesn't go back to attacking until the blanket covers them again.

And actually this is part of our wake up routine on school mornings. Which starts Wed!

I wrestle with Levi and the noise level in my house is loud with 3 dogs. The 2 girls start woo wooing and barking while he is growling and boxing. You can see Levi try to pull his jowls around his teeth so he doesn't bite. Oh the blanket will drive him nuts jumping all over me.

hubby brought home a pair of welding gloves - they are very thick suede gloves, quilted and lined, buster's teeth cannot pierce them and the quiliting is thick enough to protect dh's hands. he and buster love to play fight and wrestle while the gloves are on.
it looks and sounds like a death-match, but it's all in good fun. when buster is feeling fiesty, he will go get the gloves and bring them to hubby for an invite to play. when the gloves come off, the game ends with smooches all around.
i've tried putting the gloves on, but apparently it's no fun to play with mamma. buster refuses to rough house with me for some reason.

I don't wrestle with Kota.. He knows that I'm just for snuggling. He does get to wrestle with my husband and LOVES it!! He's rolled my husband a few times... Jumping over his back and all. He hasn't been able to wrestle in a while since his heartworm treatment. He is ready to get back into the "ring" though. My hubby works away from home so for a few days after he leaves Kota whines at the door and doesn't want my hubby to leave his sight.. No growling tho, but they really haven't been able to wrestle a whole lot since we got him back.

Luke loves to wrestle with my fifteen year old son. Adam just asks Luke, "Do you wanna fight?" and it's on. Luke climbs all on him and mouths him gently. But Luke's figured out he's a big boy and will use his weight! If they're rough housing on the bed, Luke usually just lays on Adam and mouths the back of his neck and head. He never growls though, just mouths, jabs and even pounces. For a big dog he's very agile. I swear his movements are almost cat-like. It's hillarious and all in good fun. We've never had it get out of hand. He's great about stopping and it's usually Luke who backs off as if to say, "I've had enough kid!"

My husband wrestles with our boys too. They get into it so much!! They don't growl but they definitely "box" and will throw out some soft bites as well. It's really funny to watch, especially Odie because he get's really silly and will literally throw all of his weight around and will sit on you too! When Dash wrestles, he mainly boxes and then come the kisses!! I'll have to get a video of them soon! :)

We play fight with our boxers too! They are so funny. Just like everyone else has stated, they sound like they are going to kill you. My mother-in-law hates when we play with them, I think that is funny. She isn't a dog person anyways. Love our boxers!

Glad to see so many fellow wrestlers on here! I play fight with Tron all the time - he adores getting all wound up & growling like he's going to bite my face off hehe. His favourite is when I try & steal a toy from his mouth - not tug of war but trying to hit it out. He'll run off & hide then peek round the corner as if to say 'are you coming to get me then?!'

We wrestle as well

I should say my Husband does - they get so rough and they really seem to enjoy it. No one gets hurt and plus they have so much energy and they need to be able to let loose. :LOL:appicon:D

I play fight with Bigler all the time often outside where we have more room. The sounds that he makes are frighteningly fierce and to anyone looking at us it appears I am getting mauled. He growls, charges, lunges and goes balastic but never, never has he actually bitten me. It is amazing with so much frenzy activity that he can be so incredibly careful so as not to actually bite me. Boxers are the most amazing creatures - ever! Kisses for everyone after play is over of course!
