Everything but my new couch! She really wants to to get on it but we don't allow her too and she's good about not getting on it. She occasionally tries but a firm "off" and she is down & goes and gets on her own bed or in the chair with daddy. She has a nice fancy giant home made bed in the living room so I don't feel too banning her from the couch.

Super Boo

Completely Boxer Crazy
Boo has always been allowed on the bed (big mistake) because now that we have Skye too--there's no room for us. The funny thing is that we never let Boo on the leather couch (she really never asked) UNTIL we got Skye. Skye was like "I want to lay on the BIG bed that you're on" and proceeded to invite himself onto the couch. Then all of a sudden Boo, after 3 years, realized what she was missing and low and behold, now we come downstairs in the morning and she's crashed out on the couch.

So Yes, our dogs are allowed on the furniture.

I actually kinda get my feelings hurt if Roxy doesn't come curl up on the couch or come to bed with me! :o We have three big chairs that she's not allowed on and the door to our guest bedroom stays closed since it's my "pretty" room (at least it's going to be whenever it gets finished). Other than that, she's pretty much got free rein. Dh was totally against it at first and he still gets a little disgusted if the hair situation gets out of control, but I have to say that he's adjusted nicely. :) Hey, one of these days we'll have little kiddos running around and the furniture will get worn and things will get messy, so he might as well get used to it now! :D

I said that there was no way that my Sox was going to be allowed on the furnature (that was until we brought him home) How can you not cuddle them - now 4 week later he gets up on his own and sleeps wherever he likes. He is only 13 weeks still a baby and I wouldnt let my baby sleep on the floor. He wakes quite early in the morning and if I want a sleep in I come down stairs and take him back to bed with me. It is just like sleeping with the hubby, I am pushed over to the edge of the bed and with no blankets and cant get back off to sleep because of the snoring lol.

Gail mum to socks flashy brindle.

gabbar

Boxer Pal
Gabbar Doesn't sleep unless he's on the bed

Gabbar sleeps only when he's on the bed between me and my wife. we haven't hugged after he's come because he really likes to stretch and takes up most of the space between us. We had 'Decided' to not let him on the bed, but who can ignore those soulful eyes. I think he just needs the assurance that someone is around, and would just touch either one of us with his hands and stretch the rest of the body as much as possible.

Furniture!

Let's face it - who can resist a cuddle from thier Boxer? Whe we moved house last year, of course we said Caoimhe wouldn't be allowed on the new sofa - that lasted about 2 months!! Now she spends half of the evening on one sofa with my husband, then comes and sits with me on the other!!
Spoiled or what? She deserves it for being soooo cute!

Brutis Brown

Boxer Pal
My family was always against allowing pets in doors much less on the couch/chair! Maybe that's why when we went to get Brutis I told Annie that we would not allow him on the furniture, but as soon as we got home we toodk a nap on the couch together!!! So much for that rule!

Funny, I thought that was what furniture was for! And it is ESPECIALLY nice when the irritating in-laws come over, and they have to SIT on the furniture, which is complete with dog hair!
we found ourselves buying a new couch every two years, for the 10 years we had our 120 lb. wolf dog. Not because he chewed it, but rather, from his constant JUMPING on it, when he heard a noise outside!
We bought a new set for Snoop and Dottie! And they are breaking this set in, very well. Nice and comfy cozy to sit on WITH them, and we are happy.

Too funny. My big boy Hummer is a real chicken too. Runs to mommy (me) whenever he's spooked ;)

duke'smommy

Boxer Buddy
Duke is allowed on the furniture , well just the big couch and the bed. The smaller couch belongs to the cats. We are pretty good with keeping the couches covered, so when company comes over no dog hair or cat hair. As I am typing this Duke and dh are fighting over the couch. Duke likes to stretch out and literally push us off the couch. It's great when the three of us are crunched together on the couch legs, paws, arms all intertwined!
