Do you allow your boxer on the furniture?

Since boxers are known for their stance when they play their paws are a big help to my bf and I.. when LaRon wants to get on the couch or bed he has to but his paw up on the couch/bed if he wants to get on... its really up to you but. Like with kids nothing lasts

Yes I allow my dogs on my couch

Yes I let both my dogs on the couch. I do cover it with a blanket to keep it from getting smelly.

When I got Niko he didn’t know how to control his legs. It was pretty funny. Every time he would try to jump on the couch he couldn’t get his legs up in time. So he taught himself how to climb up on to the couch instead. Then one day he finally jumped on the couch like a pro.

"let" he he he... My girls are snuggled up on the couch as I type!! Hubby had Kilby up on the couch from day 1 so I knew I would lose the battle not to let them on there at all. Instead, I just put an old towel on the couch and wash it every couple of days. They know they aren't allowed up there unless the towel is there and our 5yo fabric couch is in really good condition. I also give a vacuum every week to pick up any extra hair/dirt the towels miss.

That's about how things are working with our new living room furniture. DH was excited that he got a big comfy chair and ottoman......which is also conveniently (for Johann), the perfect size for an overgrown boxer. Johann even uses the ottoman as his chin rest.

At least we get to split the couch......

Yes my babies are allowed on the furniture. I bought leather for that purpose. It's a lot easier to care for. Good Luck!

Yes.. I tried not letting them but Apollo has free run of the house... so that means furniture too. Lotus as well when not sleeping at night or when we are at work. Apollo has ruined a cream and blue chair and my blue couch with slobber and stains ect.. but I love him. He is family. I would never tell my children they werent allowed on the furniture how can I tell my fur babies not to be on it. I febreeze febreeze febreeze!!!!

Hahaha! I've been there and done that.. Much easier said than done! You just can't help it when they give you that so convincing boxer look!

Let's see...couch stunk big time, so we replaced it. Dogs not allows on couch...but then I said, well, they can be on *me* on the couch. We have three dogs. Not all three could fit. So we tried putting a blanket over it...yeah, right. So for now, we have a baby gate that is in front of the living room when we are not there. But when it's down, they get on the couch. *sighs* That's why craigslist.org exists...cheap furniture, replace often.
