When i come home and its just me and my shelbs i am constantly asking her how her day was and almost pretending she answers back! haha am i nuts!! and when daddy comes up the street i go SHELBY!! DADDYS HERE!! and i get her so excited that she ends up being a pouncing woooo woooo'er hehehe!

i am just curiouse if you indeed have human conversations with your baby? and if so in wat context? i treat shelby like a baby - play with her hair , her soft jawls, her ears (flip em back and call her slick) hehehe

I'm not ashame to admit that I talk to my babies all the time. What's the fun of having boxers if you can't talk to them like they're real babies.:D :D
I tell them what I'm doing, where I'm going and that they should watch the house while mommy and daddy are at work. I tell Ruby he's the man of the house while we're gone and to watch Lily, not to let her get into things she shouldn't. Sometimes I even talk to them about how bad of a day I had at work. (Yes, I know, I need to get a life).

I think they are the best one's to share things with. If we do something stupid they don't call us stupid. If we did something wrong we don't get lectured. We can tell them how bad or how good our day is and they just lend an ear. I always ask Harla how her day was.

They only know how to love us! I'd rather talk to my dog than my husband sometimes!:D

I talk to my babies all the time. I think it has done wonders for my stress level and their vocabulary. Too bad they would only know baby talk!

I talk to Moe and Olive all the time. I tell them how wonderful they are and how much I love them. I'm always asking them where stuff is and the funny part is that I find it shortly after asking. When I leave for work in the morning I tell them to take care of the house. I love talking to my furbabies. :D

We talk to our kids so much it's not even funny. We will carry on conversations with them especially when they are "misbehaving." Not only do they hear a firm NO!, they also get to listen to a sometimes lengthy dissertation on what we expect of them. ;) For example, the other night Madison and Gunnar were giving this little whine while Tim was getting his dinner. He looked at them, like a father does, and said something along these lines, "Now you two know better. You just ate and now it's daddy's turn to eat. When I'm finished we can go outside and play but not until then. Now go and behave." I'll admit that I've had even lengthier conversations with Madison about this or that (i.e., how pretty she looks, how un-ladylike she was while we had visitors, how much I love her, what a good girl she is, how proud we are of her, etc., etc.) and she just looks at me in agreement so I'll shut it. It's the look that says, "Sure mom, whatever you say. Can I go now?" ;)

HE HE HE!!!! I talk to Chance and Maddie ALL the time. As a matter of fact, I think I talk to them more than anyone else  (I know I shouldn't admit that) But no matter what I say or what I do they will always love me and be right by my side :p Heck, I always talk to Maddie and she's deaf!!!!!

I always talk to Fritzi, Teddi and Snoopy. The great thing is they always agree with my every point :) I think pets are very intuitive - they seem to sense when we are upset/happy or just undecided.
